There's a certain irony in claiming that English is a dialect when the word you use to identify the language of which it's supposedly a dialect comes from Latin via French, rather than being derived from the native term for the language...No surprise, historically seen is english nothing but a german dialect(although the Brits and Yankees don't like to hear this, he he he)
English is the bastard offspring of French and German decorated with a bunch of bling lifted from other languages.
