It looks like visiting mom's room or one of the sisters rooms resets the daytime from night to day. I don't believe that's intended...
EDIT: That seems to happen after visting several rooms, also after visiting the kitchen in the evening. But is is not the next day, because you cannot get your income again, right then.

Stuck on the master key part, I talked to Kim 'cause she lost her key, I went to the shop to get it done, I paid, so now I have the brothel's master key. Then I went home, looked above all 3 doors, got the home master key, but I cannot give the brothel master key to Kim, nor can I do anything at home.

i'm at the same problem with Rachel's key,i could get it no problem on previous version but now it seems to make you exit the room and skip time to evening with "cannot enter" appearring
Yes, sort of. You can download the walk through for the RPMG version, it's not an exact walkthrough, but it gets most of the stuff correct.
For instance, I'm stuck on portions of day 8 because I cannot get the door code for Mom's room, but I've already upgraded the Brothel to level 3
