Honestly I have to say especially without a cheat version the attraction system is just cumbersome if you like both men and women, if you are only into one or the other than it's a cool way for the game to affirm your sexuality and pat you on the back, otherwise it's something you have to juggle with potions and doesn't really serve any point other than to be a resource sink if you want to get with the werewolves/lizardmen and still have the game play the scenes with attraction to the succubi/acolytes properly with the game reflecting you are indeed attracted to them and want to fuck.
I hope someone can get that to Hyao so that it can go back to being something you set.
Ooof. From your point of view I can see how that's definitely tiresome. The game's system really ends up having to lean on one side of spectrum or the other. It'd be nice if your sexuality could be set specifically at the start of the game rather than having it rely based on your actions. If we could set our sexuality to straight/gay/bisexual from the start, then we wouldn't have to find and repeat the same enemy encounter/sex scene over and over just to let the game know what we already want to see. Not to mention that there are even potions to make you change your sexuality, so I think having to option to set your sexuality and preference from the start to be a fine addition. And if you ever want to play for the other team, just pop a potion.
Or at the very least, allow us to way to control our sexuality without having to rely on enemy encounters or sex scenes like maybe a masturbation scene that lets us decide what to think of while jacking off. Like maybe if you were playing as a male, thinking of women while masturbating to lean our sexuality to straight, thinking of men for gay, or a threesome with a man and woman if you're bi.
