Is Hyao doing any sort of "next content polls" on Patreon to guide development, like Majalis does?
I would be curious about where the backers want the content to go. I have a feeling there might be more people pursuing the dwarf storyline rather than some more h scenes with the red orcs.

The typical update cycle is one new release every 3 months. But the dev team mentioned they were going to try to move to one update every 2 months. I wouldn't hold my breath, though. They are doing some significant changes in the combat system to support some new scenarios (some of the "enemy characters AI" changes already went out) and I imagine this will be requiring significant QA.

At least since I've started following the game, I don't remember ever seeing any content polls on Patreon, no. The few polls I can recall had to do with art, like if Hissh should have genital piercings in his sprites and if the MC should be featured in CGs (as a shadowy person with no distinct features).

I can't ever recall him doing content polls. The last few polls have been more about how he presents the content vs what it actually is.

PART 1: BRIMSCORCH CONTENT

Fishing Village

Walk around the village:

  • Explore the old Fishing Village formerly known as Crestshore.
The option to walk around the village is going to be available even outside of the Beta content. You can move around it like any other dungeon. There are some extra scenes to see. If you are on a current step for Beta story, there will be an additional zone to check which would move you to another memory of our dear hunter. There are some secrets, some known characters and a bit of exploring and fighting. Including the big bad boss.

PART 2: VIRILE CONTENT

Bareshade

Tavern:

  • Harold's old 'special' drink option has been adjusted. The scene content is the same, but you will now be able to choose which version of the scene you want after drinking the drink he offers for the first time (as long as you meet the requirements for the second version). Also, he does something more 'Harold like' before he gives it to you now.
Northcrest Outpost

  • Event: Unwelcome offer (Req: Seen the 'A different kind of headache' event, and Everett's 'Last Battle' talk option has been done)
PART 3: VISUAL/AUDIO ASPECTS

Narram’s addition:

  • Big bad boss
Gavel's addition:

  • Father's Chamber BG
Burb's addition:

  • New Icons: Emerine Breastplate, Ground Creeper, Lizard Scarf, Poisoned Bolt, Versatile Potion, Warding Ring, Wolf Brooch

This makes me wonder why he even implemented 'red routes' at all, instead of just short and immediate 'bad ends'.
It doesn't seem like Hyao plans to do both timeline at all lol. These are no better than 'meaningless choices'. :(

I literally finished the non-Black Wolf content in under a minute too. I really don't care for it (BW) and if you don't either, this is by far the worst update. The Harold "content" is like a single line change and lets you pick between two old scenes which changes nothing. The Unwelcome Offer is another random scene that doesn't involve you, and there's one scene also not with you (nor BW) in the BW content. So basically two scenes, neither of which involve you. This is what I expect from Flexible Survival, not LD.

Really hope that's true because wow was this month's update is a MEGA stinker. I really didn't think it would ever get this bad, only progressing one side-plot I REALLY do not gaf about.

I think the new Harold scene is the "straight from the tap" option for the special drink. Though it is basically just more sub/bottom content (and with Harold, who already has a tonne of sub!MC scenes, too), so not really notable if you're not into that.

I'm actually a fan of the character building and the wholesome scenes, but LD does kind of need to have the sex scenes, too, as a porn game.

Really hope that's true because wow was this month's update is a MEGA stinker. I really didn't think it would ever get this bad, only progressing one side-plot I REALLY do not gaf about.

I think what was supposed to be last month's Black Wolf content was made into a separate update for March so that Hyao would have more time to finish up his planned scenes. Hopefully, that means an extra meaty April update.

No the scenes are fine; the "change" is that you can now pick either of the scenes instead of being forced into being facefucked just because your lewd score is too high (also that he charges you for both now). Virtually no "new" content was added there.

That's my issue. I don't play LD for the plot, I play for the material, so without any scenes in a new update, it's effectively nothing.

Hopefully, and yeah that seems to be the case, but what Hyao (and WAY too many other devs) seems to forget is THIS IS A PORN GAME. The porn should come first and foremost. It's what brought people in and it's why people stay. No disrespect to people who like the plot and characters too, but just, man.
