Well I dont think Bernard have anything to update to be honest, since it already have everything that it needs, about Torben I do wish there would be update for him, but not sure that Hyao would do any significant changes or complete overhaul to not make it look like previous artist did a bad job with it or something, as far as I seen the changes that he did with ZoroJ sprites are minor changes like new emotes and stuff, or change of clothing, but still making it look like it was done by previous artist to preserve original design and sprite

Bottom Logan locks you out of the second level of the wolf den and you won't be able to start the Black Wolf event later. And you also can't get any hearts with him.

The best way is having two game saves - one with bottom logan and one with a top logan... because this decision influence the storyline heavily...
Would anyone happen to have a good save for mobile that I can have? (Android) Im willing to take a windows save as well if not. I got a new phone and lost all my progress.

compare bernard to logan, harold, and everett his sprite age is starting to show. As for torben, he just looks bad imo.

It's nice StanG is updating what was missing, as it shows he treat this as his own project, not just some hired hands.
But I don't think they need to Overhaul anything, LD's arts are fine as it is.
The artstyle conflict exist but is not on your face, and there's no way they can improve the situation, unless they let one single artist redo all the arts from the beginning, which will be largely redundant work.
Even Torben is fine, since he's just some throw away side character, and you can say his art is very unique

Yes some older sprites does show their age compare to the more newer works of ZoroJ, but I personaly dont mind that cuz the original sprites are preserved, the issue with remaking it that it can be hit or miss, especialy when alot of people are grown realy attached to them, and StanG style are different, so remaking sprite of some beloved character like Bernard is a risky move, edditing them like he did with older sprites are more easy is that he draw out new parts according to the foundation that was laid without changing it, while making a complitely new one may cause an issue if it wouldnt look realy realy similar to original work which harder to do cuz they have different styles, I personaly dont like Torben design too, but I also would feel bad if Naram would be sad about his design being redesigned, but he might be not and would be complitely fine with it, but as it stand out I dont realy have a big with having older and newer works

I assume this is for bottom Logan? Kinda nice of an art compensation for these (almost) abandoned contents.
To be clear, They should not make decisions "Because that might make someone Feel Bad".
Hyao is making a game, not holding a "feeling good" party.
If the art is not good for the game, it should be replaced.
BUT the fact we are arguing here, means it's totally subjective, hence it's not a reason to be redone / remove / revamp.
On top of that, you also need to consider resources, availability, feasibility, further planning, etc.
Yes thats the bottom Logan scene in underground from the looks of it, and yeah it all tottaly subjective, as I heard Stan will be going full time on LD after he finishes his commissions queue, so that means Hyao will have a big possibility of having alot more work done for the game, even right now he is not full time working on it and mixing it with his commissions and we already get huge amount of visuals done since he joined ( I would even say that he did in a short time alot more than was done in a year, especialy in amount of CGs that was added ) so I think it will get even more stuff in the future

The actual update is taking so long to pop up that it basically feels like another month has essentially been skipped. Is this special update's content actually a fun read or is it just a glorified non-canon fluff advertisement kind of thing?
It's a cute one if you like the werewolf stuff. But he's still working on one and is planning to release it this month, I'd be surprised if he still tries to release mid month since it's so late now.
