I see the crocodile stuff has basically been dropped and put on the backburner already.
Brimscorch is responsible for stuff with cocodiles, there could be stuff writen for it but Hyao might not have time to put it all in, so there will be a breaks in between to put a stuff that he wants to write and put out

Now that you mention it, I really like Brimscorch's writing in particular.
I missed a few updates and so I decided to make a new save file. I did not remember how much time you gotta put in to get to most of the actual scenes, jesus christ. And no way to skip the tutorial? Weird

I enjoy gay content but am not a fan of my mc being penetrated or fucking burly and/or hairy dudes. Is this a game I should pass on? I assume yes given the screenshots, but figured I'd ask.

This is a Bara game that almost all Male NPCs are burly / hairy / muscular / beefy / chubby.
And yes you can play as a pure top MC, but it still has a bottom MC bias - they get way more contents.
If you don't like the first line, it's probably not a game for you.

all the love interest/sex options in this is burly, big, and some are hairy. Hecc, some female NPC is even masculine like the water nymph lol
So yea, you probably want to skip this if you hate those.
probably a long shot to hope that gender selection eventually becomes a bit more in-depth? really enjoying the game so far, but as a gay trans dude the pickings are pretty slim out here as far as porn games are concerned.

That's a question you should ask the dev. They Made Female MC quite good.
But If you are asking For Trans Sexable NPCs, I don't think Most Audience including the Dev want to see or Include.
Also the "picking" is extremely Amazing for a Focused and Hand crafted Bara porn game without Procedurally Generated Contents.
No games that's made for everyone ever comes out to be good.
It's deffinitely not possible cuz the whole thing of gender is incredibly confusing and each people interp it as what they think it is, so its literary imposible to write that would fit for all people, especialy with all the variations of male and female, dom sub, top bottom amount of dialogue so it would be hard to know how you even write it for other genders, as they/them? as she/they? as he/they, and ect. unfortunately the concept of gender is incredibly bloated soup and would be impossible to write it that would satisfy all who have interest in that, thats why its easier to just stick to male and female so that it would be less confusing for all
yeah i've mostly been choosing the female character and pretending, but ive seen games where it's essentially just "choose pronouns, choose whether your character has a penis or a vagina" and that's about it? like i said im not complaining about what's there, because i'm enjoying it a lot so far, and this is definitely one of the more in-depth porn games i've found that actually as a compelling plot and a lot to explore, i'd just like to know if some more nuanced character building would be possible in the future. i just don't think it's as complicated as some people make it out to be.

Yeah it's not really complicated if you just want a trans MC in this game,
for one MC has no presence so it doesn't matter what gender MC is;
for two the game already hs both Male and Female MC written, since you either use you Dick or your Vagina for sex, it also doesn't matter if you are Trans or Cis.
All they need to do is changing the code a bit so when it refers to MC, it calls the gender / body-part variables player put in.
BUT IIRC this game has pretty messy codes and Hyao is not a Coding genius, I doubt it will be easy to implement even if they want to.
Tho it doesn't hurt to ask the dev about it (Probably in their discord) if you really care.

Good to know, thank you! And yeah, it's really easy to ignore, considering it's mostly second person anyway, just the occasions where other characters talk to/reference you. It's not even some huge dealbreaker, so much as a "it would be nice." (Honestly, there's a few typos here and there where people refer to you as "he" even if you're playing the female MC, which i don't really mind, for obvious reasons)
