Raids also won't spawn if the targeted NPC is placed on one of the 2 Islands or near the location you recruited the mermaid from... or while MC (if would be traget) is on a raft in the middle of the sea.I read earlier (and tested most of these) that you can avoid (read to mean ignore) altogether with three different methods.
1. Use the plant mascot thing to decrease the number of raiders to 0. Which is the less cheesy exploitive way since its the officially sanction method by the game devs.
2. Get a decoy amulet and put it on an NPC, and you can put them on survival mode. When I read this it didn't make sense all to me on the forums, because I thought survival mode would just make the NPC run around the map when an enemy is near them and that eventually they might get hit and captured anyways. What I didn't realize was that survival mode literally makes an NPC invincible and unable to attack. So with this method just take a random NPC put them in the middle of no where with spike / stun traps all around them and let the enemies slowly kill themselves trying to attack an invincible NPC.
3. Put a NPC with decoy amulet somewhere narrow or unreachable. For instance put the decoy amulet on an NPC, and stick them inside a cave or house somewhere that you don't frequent. The raiders will spawn outside but can't get to the NPC inside since the AI doesn't know how to go inside of houses and locations except when going to sleep. You can also put the NPC with a decoy amulet somewhere high that is narrow. Like for instance there is a section of the mountain between Woman Only Village and Loli Village where the game considers it to be too narrow to find a valid place to spawn the raid and will just give you the "raid not spawn" message.
There is plenty of Options to avoid it... still my question was
"Why would you even want that?"
Raids can be higher Level than any Native village or Dungeon enemy ever could be, so if Leveling up beyond Level 50 it kinda becomes mandatory to use high Level raids, unless you want to play for hours on end... and at the start the raids are good to Level up at an accelerated rate allowing you to challenge the story Bosses without useing exploits that might be removed in the near future.
Plu once you have the Flower Totems you can get free women from each raid which have much higher Level than your avarage villager... though I don't really see the appeal right now as they take longer to Level and aren't any faster than the normal villager... just more tanky
