Because you arent her... This is not really a game its more like a novel that you can make some choices for. You just watch what happens with the characters in the story, you arent them. I genuinely want to understand why people have that mindset like they are part of every single story. This isnt an rpg (role-playing-game) its just a story and things arent gonna always go the way you want them to they will go in the direction of planned original outcome of the story. Maybe its just not for you if you cant look at things objectively.
It's been discussed here on many threads over several years and it's one thing that really surprised me when I started hanging out here. The term some of us like to use is self-insertion. For whatever reason, many that play these things take on the role of the MC, that's why they get so emotional about certain things. I never do that...it doesn't even occur to me to do that. For me, it would be the equivalent of becoming Aragorn when I read LotR. No, sorry, I am curious about how the story unfolds, but I don't make that mental shift. Buuut.....for some, it's their way of playing these things and I just have to virtually pat them on the back remind them, it will be ok.
Yea they self-insert into every game and I believe thats why things like ntr and cheating bother them so much because they act like its actually happening to them. Lol its just a story and they dont have to be the characters to relate or connect with them. Patti is a slut pure and simple thats the way the character was created to be so anything she does that is slutty shouldn't surprise us. I dont play any of these games like that. Its not a redemption story and from what i have seen it never was. Its a corruption story.
A corruption story as in everyone except the MC is already corrupted? Patti was corrupted, but was full on whore at the start of the story...I'm actually trying to think of a character besides the MC that wasn't already cheating or unapologetic slut.
Any, really? Maybe mixdrop, uploadhaven, filesdp are fast in your region, but it's not for me. I got about 80kb/s when using mixdrop, for example. And Mega has daily traffic limit.
Apologies. I was meaning only that the others didn't have a traffic limit. I think the links provided are chosen by the uploader / moderator / staff member who updates the OP of the thread. You could always ask 7767 directly, but in my experience I haven't seen updaters provide changed links very often if ever.
I love the most guys who self-insert into male side characters in female protagonist stories.
I dislike these self-insert classifications because they sidestep the broader arguement on whether these stories are actually interesting from a 3rd-person perspective. Whether people identify with the narrator is only useful for insulating or bolstering egos, depending on the story. But it has nothing to do with how enjoyable a tale is on its storytelling elements.
