Maybe it looks silly, but between people who have feelings for each other (Matt also has feelings for Serena, despite the fact that he has sex with other girls) such scenes are not uncommon.
Serena and Anna sex scene can be completely avoided if the player wants it. But even if it happened, then it cannot be considered cheating. Both girls are straight and choose exclusively men as life partners. And lesbian sex for them is just a way to have a little fun.
Yes, the choice here was only between two options: an open relationship with the prospect that one day they will develop into a normal relationship, or a complete cessation of any contact between them. And they chose the first option, and also said it out loud, which was important for both of them (for Serena it was a little more important).
Patti behaved rather mercenarily at the beginning of the game, and the situation she found herself in is a very natural result of her actions. But the player will definitely have the opportunity to influence her fate. That is why she is a game character.
