Genuinely interested in the world the story takes place in. Interesting characters with unique models, distinct character voices, and just a wholesome vibe despite the occasionally dark happenings in the VN. Worth a read imo.

I'm either missing something or the game is really not for me:

After "playing" through the prologue I felt like none of my decisions mattered- even the different "flavored " text gets the exact same response , the MC goes along with everything rather than existing by himself and the only characters I cared about were The Benefactor and The Russian. Not to mention the "365 days remaining" countdown and infuriating story (prologue) demotivates me from playing.

Until I get some divine inspiration myself, have no plans on giving it another try.

i never thought i'd post anything on this site but i seriously didn't feel comfortable binging through this game without rating it a 5. i'm really eager to learn more about the characters and see where the story goes from here, can't believe i came to a game for the porn and stayed for the story this is crazy good

excellent story with great character, i love this sort of other world who exist within how are one, the renders are great , the girls are sexy, the magic looks cool and as drama without being depressif, can't recommended enough

Pretty good game. The beginning of the game was a bit confusing; in terms of character motivations and interactions. But the game really picked up from Chapter 2. The characters are endearing and music well selected. I particularly liked the world building. Setting up how the powers worked and how the institutions interact must have taken effort.

Not a whole lot of sex as of 3.1.0.1, and graphic renders are not superb. But it's definitely worth checking out, if for the characters alone. Best of luck to the author!

I'm really not sure where to start. I LOVE this VN.

Mad World just oozes with charm. The characters are all great and have a lot of depth to them. The story is fun (I have chuckled and smiled so many times playing this) but also get's quite deep which I also love.

The action scenes are awesome too, very rarely do you get them in VN's. The attention to detail is great (I.E when someone gets thrown in to a truck, the truck get's a big ass dent in it, stuff like that.)

Girls. We all love them in our VN's...and let me tell you, Mad World doesn't disappoint here, either. Not by a long shot. I specifically love Robbie and Paeonia, she's adorable...I really hope we'll get a shot with her.

I'm a heterosexual male but Vincent is something else, what a chad. The MC is pretty awesome too and says some funny shit sometimes.

The renders are also quite nice, I will say the first few in the opening bar scene were rough around the edges, but the quality steps up very quickly and drastically after that.

Music - The music in this game is DOPE. It always perfectly fits the mood of the scenes and really adds great atmosphere. I especially love the ''guitar strum'' track that appears a few times, it fits perfectly.

Overall, I really feel extremely invested and immersed to Mad World's story and world. The developer has done a marvelous job of building not only the world and story, but the characters too. I care for all of them as they all have their own unique, quirky personalities. Just a top job all over. Mad World deserves a lot more attention than it currently has, I can tell a lot of heart and soul has gone in to it from the developer.

Keep up the great work Capella/Smoke Mob Games, I can't wait to see where this epically wonderful adventure goes next

So, in general, I do not like ANY gritty VNs. Mafia stuff, tortured souls, people getting shot, not what I'm here for.

Mad World understands that the most important thing is setting the scene. Before all the more intense plot stuff kicks in, you get to know the protagonist, who is a good balance of decent human and not a total weenie. It knows that the secret to being a good VN is to give you decisions that aren't really decisions, but make them feel good to make- the decision to stay or run feels meaningful even if the "right" choice is obvious. That's a tough balance to hit.

Plus, while there aren't that many sex scenes, dear god they are hot.

Great work Smoke Mob Games, eagerly awaiting more

Damn what a game, a big focus like many games on paranormal/fantasy story lines. But this story is well thought out, the characters are probably some of the furthest from the usual stereotypes. Chloe (blue haired asian) is the only one I could put in a category and still has an awesome personality and background story.
The chars are properly loveable and enticing.
The whole thing feels like a movie! And I just lost four hours of sleep I really needed!

Awesome, the render quality has gotten much better and though there is place for improvement the last chapter shows the dev plans to keep working on the composition and the feel of the pictures.

I found this VN to be really enjoyable. The story is well written and interesting. The characters have three dimensional personalities. Very few grammatical errors with believable dialog. The MC is likeable, but seems to lack self-confidence early on. However, he does seem to be evolving as the story goes on. As of the current release (v3.1) there is several hours of game play, at least for me it was. The girls are attractive and the renders are good. Some of the renders were a little grainy early on, but I didn't find it that distracting and they do improve. I believe this is the dev's first game, so overall it's a really solid effort for a first game. I would highly recommend giving it a try. I'm looking forward to seeing this one progress.

A very entertaining VN with great writing, a genuinely interesting and intriguing story with supernatural elements, and a great cast of interesting and likable characters with various fun interactions with them as well as featuring very well-made and written intimate scenes.

The visuals are great with distinctive and well-designed characters as well as pleasant-looking background set-pieces and well-visualized story scenes.

Overall a very fun adult VN that kept me interested and entertained from start to finish and left me in anticipation for more.

The developer of this game has interesting story to tell and so he learned to make picture to them. If you don’t like visual quality of initial pictures, know that the situation is improving with the increasing number of updates.

Urban fantasy story is core of this visual novel. It is original, it is evolving and it has a lot of space for theorycrafting. So if you like theorycrafting, play a gem and start a discussion in game thread.

Be ready, that MC will not start as mighty powerhouse, but he will start down on power scale. Yea, a very down. But it is opportunity for high climbing, isn’t it? Fortunately, as soon as you get acquainted with MC, you get interesting proposition. With it your path to top will start. Just don't wait that you will become the Avenger right there!

As you will lead MC to first steps out of his bubble, you will see others characters with their own problems and so you can start as their good neighbour starting hero. If you are more interested in dark side of force, then you know the Paragon and Renegade decision awaits you on your path.

Game has broad cast of characters with various personalities. Some of them you will wish and you will gat to know closer. For others you will need to wait.
Game is at its 0.3 version now, so there is a lot of think, I don’t know about, but it is gamy, which must try anybody who like story driven AVN.

This game is amazing! While the renders tend to be on the "average" side of the scale, the story is fantastic, the world-building is one of the best in any VN I've played, and the characters are all well-written and have three dimensional personalities. But above all that, the dialogue actually sounds like two real people talking to eachother and not something that was run through Google Translate 5 times.

By god the story, so good to see something mature being made with a wonderfull story to back it up, one of the few that alot of text just complement the visuals. And its not a power trip, it has caracter and full of personality.

Genuinely charming game. A good mix of humor, fun characters, and mature themes handled in an actually mature way. The MC is also a kind and relatable guy without those major personality flaws often dumped on MCs but he still retains a personality all his own. Don't play it as a porn game, play it as a fun story with entertaining characters.

There is no grind and the story telling is somewhat linear, but this is a story and you are along for the fun of the ride it takes you on.

Absolutely loved the games so far.
Nice renders, beautiful womans, captivating story, good characters all makes it a jem of a game.
My only problem is that MC may have lacked self esteem in the beginning as for acting like a hopeless child. Maybe as story progresses he will develop confidence and honor for himself.

Very simple premise but the plot evolves in many interesting ways that is unexpected. All characters including minor ones are interesting and well developed. There're plenty of world building and it's done very well.

The art is great, dialogue is fun to read and not too long.

This game is a hidden gem and it's one of those game where I don't really care about the sexual contents.

Truly an underdog. I like to play newer games to experience new stories. But to come across such a gem was truly surprising. I like the unique story, the amazing narration, the quality of renders. I became a fan of Elena and Robbie but the other girls are glamourous as well. Hats off to the developer and thank you for such a game. Ill become your patron soon. Hoping for more!!

Very good game. Nicely done visuals, interesting characters. The story is intriguing and well written.

It's a mix of daily life (funny and challenging) and adventures pertaining to magical stuff.

Currently (r2.0.3) the erotic content isn't the most rich and impressive; though some sex scenes are quite good.

There are romantic relationships, friendship, mystery, fantasy...

I recommend this game and hope to see more.

The Dev of this Game is Great,the way he tells the story, tells a complete Background of the Relic, without getting Boring.
Sometimes the reading is a little bit to much for me, but then when I skipped a couple of lines, I go back because im afraid I missed out on something.
Can only say I loved the hell out of it.
