The site really needs more gay content tbh
(replying to)
This site needs a lot of things and pre-existing things recorrected, but the amount of gay games isn't it. ...I mean, there's already 17x20 pages of gay games for any type of (male) gay to choose from.
.
(about the game)
Maelstrom looks like a [Dating Sim] and [Romance], so I wouldn't be surprised if those tags will be included in near future.

I get that Yaoi stuff is almost exclusively made by women for women... but why do the guys always have to look so 'pretty and feminine'? Where is the facial/body hair? Why do they basically look like women, when they're supposed to be men?
How can they fetishize gay men, when their depictions barely look like us? So many questions, yet so little time!

There are a few such VNs I've found that do have men with body hair and beards. I can't remember them by name but if you use the search you and go through some of the gay VNs you should find them. I know one has the MC being like a peer tutor in collage or university in modern settings. That one allows for you to turn on and off all the extra hair if you want and it's the one that sticks out in my mind right now.

which indeed is not yaoi but western comic...

Luckily, we live in an era where there are a variety of gay-themed games and VN with different styles; if you don't like a style, move to another. I find it bizarre to complain that a yaoi... looks like a yaoi. I mean, it's their job!

Where did you buy the game from? Because it wouldn't be a very intelligent thing to say a full game is trash if you only played the Demo..which is all that there is here, yanno.
Didn't say the game was trash......said the story was.....
...don't try to start shit.....personal arguments get Yeeted real fast.....

I get where you're coming from, but I can assure you some guys actually prefer more androgynous males than the whole alpha male musclebound package or bears. Speaking from experience here.

Of course! I myself don't really care how masculine or feminine guys are, as long as their character/personality doesn't suck (I actually get mistaken for female from time to time [only if people haven't heard me speak though] because I'm really short, have longer hair, a baby face and almost never wear clothes that show enough of my body to see the hair, which I have surprisingly a lot of). I can see how my comment came off that way though. To me it just feels like so many of the creators have accepted it as the norm and pretty much draw androgynous women rather than men at times (only referring to Yaoi stuff though, Bara content is full of testosterone and all that stuff).

True, but I'd still take yaoi games over bara ones anyday. Bearded tatooed hipsters, bodybuilders and superhairy big bellied types are not for everybody, and many of us don't look like that either.
Bear in mind that lanky, lithe, toned or average men do exist, as do flamboyant and/or more feminine individuals. Not everybody who hits the gym turns into a croissant...

Imho the bara genre is far more diverse in its original media, manga, both story and body type-wise, whilst dudes in most of these games look and behave as if Obelix had fallen inside a cauldron full of "ultramacho" potion. That's also a dealbreaker for many.

If fujoshis get so many light gay games done it's because they support devs who are creating them. Just the same that happens with futa: paying customers rule the market.

That said, this game suffers from a severe case of "sameface" syndrome.

Eh I certainly don't have a thing for pretty femme boys or ridiculously muscled characters, wish there are actually more "normal" looking handsome men with at least hunky, masculine or rugged features.
100% agree, can't remember ever looking at a man in real life and wondering how he managed to shove a whole melon into his arm.
But porn be like that sometimes (or most of the time, especially when it's drawn because art has no limits). Feels like we just have to pick which extreme is more appealing and just go along with it, which I've sadly come to terms with.
