Come on. You can bash Kagura for many things but there is a valid reason behind their actions here. DLsite often sells those game with english titles, sometimes translated but most of the time in japanese. Imagine Kagura releasing those games with the same titles and number version. Imagine the confusion (people get confused even now when games have different titles and versions!) and people buying from the wrong place. Imagine your marketing efforts boosting sales of another company (dlsite has much bigger presence in search engine). It is just Kagura games stupid ass naming convention.
Also, what if Kagura needs to patch the game, independently of japanese version (to fix some bugs they introduced...)? Do they keep original version number? I guess they can put their own number in the brackets, but that doesn't make sense because titles are different (for reason mentioned above)
That's why tittles are version numbers are different.
At least this one thing is not Kagura's fault. It's simply people being stupid and not understanding that japanese and english versions are different. It's the same content but different publishers (this btw. happens with "normal games" too). This is the same shit as people buying codes for games, choosing wrong region, then being surprised that their code doesn't work.
Magical Fighting Princess Lilstea with whatever version number is japanese version of the game.
Magical Valkyrie Lyristia with whatever version number is an official english release of the game.
It's so fucking simple.
But tbh, everything being thrown in the same thread doesn't help. Officially published english version should get its own thread instead being put in the same thread as mtl/fan translated japanese version.
