There are no "Stopgap" translations. If a translator sees "Translated" in the OP, they just leave and go somewhere else. You're just guaranteeing the game won't ever get a decent translation.

Especially since most translators don't wanna deal with how belligerent the original translator gets when you poach a translation from them. It's been like that in the fan translation scene for over 20 years. This isn't anything new or out of the ordinary.
maybe for others, but not for this game.
That's not really the problem. AI TL peeps generally don't care. If someone can do a better job, they're welcome to it and all that.

The issue is that if there's an AI TL, the odds of getting a dedicated fan translator to work on the game drops drastically. After all, lots of people will already be content with the AI TL and will not revisit the game just because a better TL is available. Especially if it's Dazed tier, which these days is so close to proper English that the only thing in question is often the accuracy of the TL... which someone who doesn't know Japanese can't question anyway.

People have to remember, fan translators, the ones that know Japanese, have no need to do translations. They can just play the game as is and screw everyone else who doesn't know Japanese. So if they do TL, they either do it out of the goodness of their hearts (which can only take you so far because TL-ing anything is tedious, horribly boring work and games are particularly horrible to work with), they do it because having people play their TL makes them feel good (which obviously won't happen if everyone already played an AI TL), or they do it to make an extra buck (which again, won't happen if everyone already played an AI TL).

Those are the three major reasons someone might fan-TL. So yeah, if this gets an AI TL, good luck seeing a manual TL, ever, unless some official publishing happens... and that seems unlikely with this dev.

I've seen plenty of fan translators not bother with games that had shitty MTL published, much less AI TLs, which, as mentioned before, these days produces much more proper English with much fewer issues, leaving only the accuracy of the translation in doubt. For all we, who don't know JP, can tell, AI TLs could very well be full re-writes or fanfics... but we have no way to tell the difference, we can only judge the English itself if it's consistent...

So yeeeeah.

If people want full on, manual TL, it's best to ensure that the game remains untouched for a while, and it's best for people to be patient. I know that's a lot to ask for with the current "gotta have shit NAO!!OneOne1" generations, but that's how it goes.

If people don't want a manual TL, then go with whatever.
Why are you conflating manual translations with proper or good translations. The vast majority of late 2024-2025 playable translated NTR RPGS have been translated with AI assistance (I wanna say all, but maybe Kaguya released something this year, idc to check). Dazed tier translations as you call it. The manual TL industry/hobby is dying in a steaming dumpster fire, everyone knows this and it’s for the reason you laid out. I don’t think anyone should expect a manual translation coming out this year.

Xebit the unofficial translator and whose translation style is the one everyone is used to, is also AI assisted. Why would one even want a manual translation anymore anyways

Because, as I mentioned in the post you quoted, it's very difficult to verify the accuracy of AI TLs. They could be full on re-writes or fanfics, and without quite a bit of effort being done, people that don't know JP would have no way of telling. It's not like the one managing the AI TL knows Japanese in most of these cases, so outside of literal gibberish, they don't have any way to know if they're perhaps dealing with figurative gibberish or anything else. Are they readable and playable? Sure. Are they accurate? Who knows?

The good manual fan translators can include TL note docs with the game where they write up various bits and pieces about the TL explaining various things for anyone curious. Not to mention that people can just ask them if anything seems particularly weird. Can't really ask AI about "why is this particular phrase/term so bizarre", not directly. You'd have to hunt down the bit in JP, put in the right prompt, etc etc.

Also, for all that Dazed's TLs have gotten way better than they used to be for a variety of reasons, they still tend to have plenty of things to nitpick about. The guy doesn't edit his TLs unless he has too and gets issues reported, but he never actually goes over them with a fine toothed comb to proof-read them. Some of his TLs have gotten that level of attention from other people, which is why they're particularly good, but it doesn't change the fact that AI itself still has some very hard limits.

Also, some of what other people tried to put out with AI TL has been... uh.... Let's just say that not spending money is not a particularly good option for the time being...

All that said, I do believe that the inevitable future involves AI TLs. They're simply extremely fast. At the moment though, at the very least they need assistance and proof-reading from someone that actually knows Japanese who can correct various bits of weirdness. The problem though is that they cost money. Dazed's TLs absolutely always cost money, regardless of the fact that the guy throws them out for free.

Can we hear from an actual fan translator whether or not AI TL dissuades them from translating a title?
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
But hey, that's just my take.
And who knows? Maybe an official publisher will pick this up someday. But given the developer's track record... yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath.

PS: This game is ridiculously text heavy, we’re talking novel-length. I can’t see anyone willingly tackling a 100% manual translation. Maybe AI-assisted TL is the only realistic option here?

They don't check if its an AI TL, MTL, a rewrite TL, or a human TL. They just see the word "Translated" and move on because they aren't gonna waste their time translating something that already has a translation. I already said this in my last post.

Damn, you people really not to stop and consider things from the translator's perspective instead of just screaming "WANT, WANT, WANT" all the time. Shit like that is the real reason human translators are so rare now, because they know they aren't appreciated.

As my previous posts have said, I've been an actual part of this industry for decades. I may not have been translating, but I've worked with dozens of them I've never met a self-respecting translator that doesn't hate this shit.

I have difficulty finding H-scene..

Over ten hours of play, only manage to find out
1. trial dungeon, enemy will capture
2. Lose duel, captured by enemy, but unable to find them to get back..

That's all I have found, can anyone share some hints on how to duel again?

Thanks.

1. demo version clearly states where the demo ends
2. you need to find an entrance do Alex's mansion (I forgot how), then a shortcut in the park will lead there to interact with Alex and his captives.

It's the demo so it might not show that much.

Let enemies capture you character and watch them get f*ck

Lose duel and go the wild bull hideout usually hidden by going though trees

And in scenes trigger when girls are with the other dudes and both of them horny enough. Girls need to reach 100 horniest

I've been thinking about it ever since I woke up, and I feel like I'm going crazy.
I've been refraining from masturbating for the sake of this game, but in the end, it wasn't released, and now I'm left with a dick that doesn't get hard anymore, even though it's sticky with precum.

Everyone, let's meet again tomorrow at 4 p.m. on JPT.

Is there any kind of announcement that I missed which suggests that we're hours from release?

Latest information I can find still just says he'll probably make it some time before the end of the month.

Mr. Pasta posted on his blog that “all that remains is the review,” which raised the expectations of some people.
Seeing the excitement on the Japanese wiki, I also got excited, thinking that it would really be released at midnight on Saturday.
In the end, I was just a fool who got excited for no good reason.

I'll post the URL for the Japanese wiki, so if you're interested, you might want to check it out from time to time.

So just a fun bit of trivia, anyone here remember how early in dev the developer had the Sylph class named after some Tolkien species instead and had to rename it for legal reasons? I thought it's funny looking back on it. That was back when he was still using the old site rather than the one you can access through his blog now.

Yeah they used to be hobbits. But I think the change to sylph was intentional since they (technically sort of) fly now
