I haven't had any trouble with using the hints on the phone. Though the hints change depending on the time of day, I believe that is something he is working on with this update.
Try starting from your last save and just skip through each day and check your phone hints for her and soph several times each day at different hours. Do that for a week and you SHOULD get a different hint for one of them that will allow you to move forward. Also, have you given her the lingerie yet?

No, and that depends on where you are in her story. Advancing her story is the only way to get stars.

Anyone able to help, a few updates ago on this game ive not been able to run it anymore as it crashes upon trying to start it because it cant change the resolution to the correct settings? Anyone know a way around this (ive tried changing all my resolution settings manually but nothing works) anyone else had this problem?
Can't say I have. Have you tried running in window or fullscreen? What resolution is your system?
I get why it might not run in full screen, but I don't get why it wouldn't work if you pick windowed mode, and something 1600x900 or less. I have a similar problem with Milftoon Drama, but that is their own engine, not unity.
What OS are you running?
