Sounds like you have unpacked the game in a place where you don't have permissions to write new files try moving the MOTH folder to your Desktop and copy your saves into the save folder and try again

You may not have created a save yet for your game, which would be why continue was locked.

When you click on the down arrow to save, follow these steps:
  1. Click on "empty slot".
  2. Name your save.
  3. Click the green check mark.
And your new save will be created. Then you will be able to click on continue.

From that point onward, click on the down arrow to save. You won't have to follow the steps laid out above except for step 3.

Finally got around to playing this one again after not touching it in well over a year, and wow has it come a long ways. My impression last time was that this was a cheap cash-in on DMD and BB, but Faerin has turned it into a phenomenally polished experience. The characters and storylines are top-notch (I normally hate corruption/slave storylines, but Veronica's was a fantastic twist), the renders and animations are beautiful, the UI is crisp, and the amount of content is ridiculous. I'm looking forward to seeing how he finishes the game up over the coming months.

My only complaint is that it's overly grindy at times. Having to repeat the same lewd scenes with a character several times in a row to progress feels like padding, and keeping your essential stats up quickly becomes a chore. The weekly/hourly mechanic doesn't help either, since it's more efficient to spam the skip time button than it is to progress through multiple storylines as they arise. I hit the cheats not too long after starting to lessen the grind and I imagine most other players followed suit. If sleep/food/cleanliness/mood are going to be part of your next game, I'd suggest tying their levels to something more enjoyable than clicking the right buttons every day.

All in all, though, a fantastic experience! I'm looking forward to your next game.

Hey MurkyTurtle, thanks a lot for your feedback!
I agree with you on the grindy part and in all honesty, I did add that (at the very start) as padding and regret it now.

The next game will not have the mood system, I have actually considered removing it altogether, as MotH has more than enough content as it is, but on the other hand I put in a lot of time to make it and it would take quite a lot of time to remove it as well.
So I decided to leave it as it is (while being fully aware that the majority of the players use the cheat console to lock it).
I will probably even add a dialog at the start of the game in the final version, asking players if they want to play with or without it.

Finally, if you wouldn't mind, there is an option to post reviews for a game/thread, and reviews as detailed like these might help new players (and make me look good ;)).

Honestly, managing moods is not that hard. Once you know how to exploit the locks due to say showering / drinking coffee / watching porn, you're pretty much able to manipulate moods to be happy all the time.

Nor is grinding for stats since they don't decrease over time - took me less than 2 weeks of in-game time (from the start) to max the stats, with Charisma in particular slowing things down, due to being only able to tan once a day.

The only real 'grind' in the game revolves around repeating events with Sophia, and the events on Sunday (Beach and Sophia for her path), which slows things down considerably. Money might also be grindy, since the jobs don't pay that well (but the casino offers a lot of money for little effort).

Otherwise, it is probably possible to pretty much complete the entire game in about 60 to 70 game days. Considering the number of characters in the game, that is actually a bit on the short side ...

So, I'd suggest that it is fine to keep it as it is.
