Also I do not think it's a minor update. The mimigames work well and are a great addition to the game and shouldn't have been easy to implement.

I actually think that it's probably a good time to stop adding new characters/features for the time being. I feel that the new things ended up preventing the continuation of what's already there. This is not to say that the new characters/features are bad, but I'm not sure it's a good thing to trade main content (the family) for a side content (the non-family).

High @Faerin I like the new job mini game and I pissed off the DM, great reference to AD&D. I have AD&D first edition with 4 sets of books and extra to go with them with well over 400 dice to boot.
Almost 35 years of play.

Just a little nitpick. Nothing important I guess. But you can't finish the tutorial anymore. It got stuck for the dinner event. It says at 16:54 that the PC should eat dinner, but of course there is no dinner event at this time. you can't leave the living/dining room and you cant wait. So there is no way to get the clock to 18:00

That's a tough one. If he were to forego the side characters/features and focus solely on the main ones and only add the side characters/features when the main stuff is much more progressed/complete then it will feel more disjointed when they are finally added.
If he then intends to add ties between the side characters/features and the main ones then there could be a lot more problems with saves from previous versions and could lead to having to regularly having to start a new game.

Ultimately it's a choice of sacrifice between progression as a whole or progression of individual characters and while I too really want to see much more of certain characters, progression as a whole gives a more rounded and complete feeling.
