Web processors do care. Why did it take Patreon several years to get PayPal on board and even then they only got a subsidiary. More controversial sites and porn sites all have to use CCBill and companies like that who take twice the comission the major processors do. Look around the discussions on this forum and you'll see payment processor being what most people are worried about when it comes to setting up an alternative site.
For starters I have a business account with paypal. It's pretty simple to do so.

Paypal is a bit of an oddball processor. It's a processor with a membership on the consumer side as well as client side. It prides itself on consumer protection, so by association it will have an image to uphold. however paypal doesn't actually care. the issue patreon and porn has is under this clause. the only clause Paypal has that cares:

Conduct your business or use the PayPal services in a manner that results in or may result in
  • complaints;
  • requests by buyers (either filed with us or card issuers) to invalidate payments made to you;
  • fees, fines, penalties or other liability or losses to PayPal, other PayPal customers, third parties or you
This clause of course is so vague anyone, and EVERYONE is subject to losing their account. It only takes a customer complaint to lose your paypal technically. Patreon and Porn were most likely because their users would demand refunds more often. Patreon probably just as much as porn too. Paypal also doesn't ask you to submit information to their business sign up. You don't have to make an agreement with paypal much differently than you do as a consumer. Why patreon took so long with paypal could be for a number of reasons. Unless you know for sure it was content related, Its best not to assume so. Business things are generally business related.

Also I should point out that Paypal, like all businesses, do not actually process payments. They also have a payment processor for the actual transaction and say so in their agreements.

yes I do understand that most people here seem to be worried about processors and I'm here to tell you they give zero fucks about what you do for a living as long as it's legal. CCbill doesn't have any consumer image to uphold aside from making sure your CC isn't hacked which is more for the client than the consumer in the first place.
