Growth framework has now been implemented - as well as a huge chunk (6000+ words) of unique daughter-father (and son-father) texts. This is the most feature-rich part of The Legacy Update and the final big chunk of content for 0.8.1.

In the example below, my army of children are thriving. Bonnie is now 12 and interacting with her will display stuff that most 12-14-year old Ikaanian girls (of good status) do on their free time. Having Laika in the household executes a large chunk of unique content as well - if you have a tween daughter around.

When she (or he) reaches the second half of her teenage years, texts and renders start to change. As you can see in the last screenshot - your daughter is growing into a fine woman, ready to take on whatever her mother and father demands of her.

This system will be fully implemented in Alpha 0.8.1 A4 (Tier4+) - scheduled for release on Saturday or Sunday.

Regarding Lovisa Helm

My first render project Lovisa was made with love and devotion. Unfortunately, it used only a simple setup that is in dire need of an update.

Before moving on to Piper and Amelia, I'll remake all oral pics with Miss Helm. These (around 8 renders) should be finished for Sunday's Alpha release.

Her old oral pics remain, however - used for the "living room" sex scene options that's now active if you seduce Lovisa.

I only have a vague idea of what a 'console command' is, but I do recall a few pages back someone wrote out a lengthy list of codes that could be used to change stats.

Tier2+ subs can now view their Power value and number of readied troops/civilians directly in the Manage Household section.

A new and very important value added as of the 0.8.1 A4 release (Sunday) is your household's total Corruption. This value displays the overall depravity of your home, calculated by a large number of factors like Pure slaves, corrupted slaves, the presence of younger children, your own actions, etc.

The Household corruption starts seeping into the minds of all your servants once it hits 250+. This means a slow but steady Corruption increase for your offspring, soldiers, accountant, etc, offering a new strategy for spreading impurity to your followers.

Thanks. I found happiness SugarCube.State.variables.happiness buy couldn't figure out what affection was.

Was wondering how to raise it thanks.
Using console is still pretty iffy from what I've found, especially when it comes to raising an individuals stats. What I've done is use SugarCube.State.Variable, ctrl + F to find where the character's stats are: for example if the characters corruption value is 85 I just type 85. After that I just go with process of elimination, you can see the majority of the characters stats in numerical form, so as long as you can match the majority of them you should be able to guess which value is the one that represents affection. This is much easier to do with the issids as they have very few variables currently. Unfortunately, I've found that once you've changed a stat you have to exit the character menu and the re-enter if you want to change another variable.

Using console is still pretty iffy from what I've found, especially when it comes to raising an individuals stats.
It seems to work fine in my experience, just need to remember it'll typically affect currently selected "primary slave" i.e. the person in the left of the two slave UI slots.

I wish there was a less clunky way to exchange girls between the annex and main house. That or an ability to interact with girls from the annex menu directly without having to go through the menus to send them to the main house and than back to the main house menu to interact with them. It's just extra steps that are unnecessary.

It seems to be a leftover from how the game was coded when there was only 1-2 slaves total. But i agree it's rather clunky. It might work slightly better if there was just a plain list without house/annex separation, and designating the interaction target and/or followers was performed from that screen with simple clicks on character portraits or per-character icons or smth.

GD was completely surprised that players wanted more slaves. but having only 2 was how all the systems were built.
thus he plonked down the annex as a temporary workaround to have more slaves that doesn't require him to rewrite the entire game.
there have been multiple updates since that each increased the integration of the annex.

Yes. I am aware of the original idea about just 2 slaves (and to me that still works fine).

All those updates you mention were in most part quite brilliant, but while adding a good deal of other content, they also added more and more players' interest toward multiple slaves and their quests. Thus the 'moar-roar' kept on getting louder as well.

I tend to think that GD briefly contemplated other solutions to multiple slaves than annex - f.x cryogenic chambers. As an afterthought and in some very hypothetical ideal case those could have been perhaps better than annex where slaves age, get more or less bored and ultimately lose a good deal of their original sex-appeal. If - and that is a BIG if - they could be returned in perfect physical and mental condition from their cryopods, they might avoid aging and maybe some other unwanted things as well.
Of course that method was a bit too scifi/fantasy-like to insert in a game world where people use horse-carts to move heavy stuff and where (so far) no household seems to have a functional fridge not to mention a working freezer.


In case I understood correctly there is no more compelling technical reason to keep the number of slaves below, say 6 or so. Perhaps there could be also a way to 'demolish annexes' and install in the game something along the lines QQP_Purple and ffive talked about. There is already a new household system coming. Perhaps that solves all difficuties with annex handling.

First of all, I enjoy this game tremendously. I don't think I need to explain that beyond pointing at the writing, do I?
Second, for me it takes off at a point where a heavily modded Sims2 ( nvm the others which are bad jokes on the genre ) and Rimworld stop. Yes, you can own slaves, yes you can have pixelated sex, but there is no storytelling of any kind involved.
Third, the commitment of the author-writer can hardly be praised enough.
Fourth, ditto for his writing.
Fifth, ditto for his listening to the playerbase.
The result is bucketsfull of fun - enough said.

There are a few things I would like but are unlikely to make it into the game for reasons of the limitations of even subscriber based funding. Platforms would object. That cannot be helped. ( To name but one, I would prefer the age limits placed as they are in my actual community, which is 15, as per the cultural and legal norms for Scandinavia and the Teutosphere [DE, AT, CH]. ) I will live with it without further howling for the moon or the impossible for I enjoy the game.

There are also a few parameters that really should be in the game, if only for sake of realism.

Slavery was historically not very profitable, which is why the Peculiar Institution met its demise.
The reason for slavery was not rational, but rather based on the sense of personal power, and as a straightforward remedy for the Iron Age problem of ''if you cannot make the neighbours friendly, you gotta kill them". ( The iron age unlike the bronze age made warfighting possible for masses of people and made everybody a threat to your survival.)
This is why the game should not make slavery very profitable.

Then, I find the choice of slaves racially monotonous. Seriously, why should a Master not have a luscious dusky girl from India or Arabia if he so desires?

Also - staying within Realism parameters, the option for Fear Based Leadership ( quote from the Norwegian pi**take on Vikings known as Vikingane ) should be there. We are not evil, just curious and playful. ( That is another quote from same series ).

Then there a few options/addons/thingamajigs that I should like and imagine are implementable.

The daily yardwalk could be avoided by ( money instead of time! ) hobbeling selected slaves if the Master decides to shell out 1000 currency or so ( each ) for locking the helpless thrall into chained anklecuffs which make running and climbing impossible and quite coincidentally force the helpless lass to take only elegant little pleasing steps.
Shock-collars would be great, and the 2 could keep the will and defiancy of the slaves firmly under lock and key. ( all hell will break loose if they ever are removed, which they must if any meaningful relation beyond fear based leadership is to emerge, or if the slave is to have fighting duties which perhaps should be permanently disabled for locked-and-shock collared thralls. Likewise, taking a collared slave into your bathchamber is a serious no-no leading to Master shocking himself. )

Returning to fear based leadership, I would rather enjoy situations in which mechanical ( and unskilled ) compliance is the result of an open threat to immediately inflict severe pain - see shock collar. And no, I do not require the fearful slave to tell me she loves Daddy - the fear in her face would suite me just fine.

It ought to be possible to put a slave on ice - frozen in time until the Master grows tired of one slave and decides to exchange her for one kept in hibernation, their motives and traits remaining unchanged in hibernation.

Spider gags! A great invention to make resistance to oral sex impossible, at the expense of foregoing the slave being skillfull with her mouth or deriving any pleasure from it.

Raping the slave's unconscious body should be in, with a once-per-week(?) drop in willpower.

I would also enjoy the option to rename slaves or alter their ages. ( for one thing, I would enjoy having a 30 year old Emma W. as my terrified and thoroughly subdued thrall. Ditto for a similar-aged Taylor S or a Meghan, Alexandra ( 2 of them in fact, different ethnic groups ). Or for that matter a 40 year old Beverly C ( STTNG ) as a sophisticated servant-doctor who must be kept friendly unless you want the next stimpack applied in a very negative way. )
I do not think this needs involving altering traits - up to the player to find a slave that is a close-enough match for the player's fantasy to work for him/her. Just altering Name and Age should be enough.
( did I see someone mention a slave who is or was a feminist? Well, that's my prospective Emma or Alexandra. Thus, there is no need to rewrite storylines. )

Having too many slaves should involve a burden, although I am not sure how that should be implemented. Perhaps this should be left to the player's discretion rather than through coding. Nobody is forcing me to have 6 slaves, and I should be happy with one had it not been for the need to have 2 for fighting.

For what little it's worth, you can adjust characters' ages in your personal instance of the game using console commands, the same way you can adjust other attributes.

I have had zero results using that with Edge, and I don't wish to restart using Chrome now that both my picked girls are so very docile and make for good housekeepers.

Version 0.8.1 (A4) has been released (Tier4+ ONLY)!

This version features the entire pregnancy/legacy framework - which I'm happy to announce is done. When I say done, we're talking about frameworks - there will of course be more interaction options with your wife, including bondage sessions and some other cool stuff.

Apart from making your wife pregnant, bringing kids into the world and raising them after your own preferences, this release also has Lovisa's new renders (oral), a ton of bugfixes and many other tweaks and smaller addons. You'll also see the new combat armor appearing at the armor store, as well as some new interior scenes here and there.

New prostitution framework
The pimp profession now has an advanced set of tools available, giving the player an almost endless combination of how he can run his redlight empire. Do you want to use whoring as part of breaking in your slaves? Or is your goal to train up your girls enough to turn them into expensive escorts that deal with Ikaanos' finer clientele - while collecting tips and fraternizing with Spheremasters?

All your slaves can be assigned as prostitutes - as long as they're obedient or corrupted enough. You can either restrict whoring to a single or just a couple of slaves, or run a large stable of working girls that bring home a sizable chunk of cash each night.

New location: Medical facility
The great Medical Facility at Crystal Heights - a beacon of technology and refined medicine, has finally opened after suffering a catastrophic hardware failure (damn those 300-year-old fusion computers).

The Medical facility offers:
- Implants.
- Plastic surgery.
- Healing.

New location: Bank of Ikaanos
The Bank of Ikaanos in Crystal Heights offers a loan at modest interests (roughly 10%) if the MC's Influence is high enough (2000+). You're also able to hire an accountant (Armand Lessor) from this location. Armand will help improving your merchant empire - unless you assign him as janitor or guard.

Gameplay changes
- Added a charuck encounter to Caitlin's quest with new art (thanks ShinCore!).
- Union formations! The Assembly plant has increased their wages ($45/$130 instead of $35/$120).
- Starving girls should now increase their risk of losing weight (from 20% to 33% per day).
- Girls weighing over 60 kg will decrease weight slightly faster if set on a starving diet.
- Lowered the chance of increasing the Oral Fixation Trait during oral sessions.
- Added a new character perk to Piper. She'll now provide an extra +3 Influence per day if assigned as a maid, IF her Domestic skill is 70+ and her affection is Amiable+.
- Added a LikeSexual checker that keeps the $like variables from falling below -10.
- Slightly raised the chance of lowering Defiance if you Thrash your slave's ass.
- Raised the sell price for automatic rifles in Hamah Bay if the charucks are present.

New domestic servant/mercenary engine
A new group of living NPCs have moved into Ikaanos. The player is able to hire these non-slave characters and use them in his household for various tasks - as guards, janitors, accountants, scavengers or prostitutes.

The current mercenary system will eventually merge with this framework, giving your soldiers the same versatility and customization options as domestic servants (scheduled for 0.8.3). That also means all NPCs will be assignable to your combat group.

NPCs keep all training and affection progress, even if you choose to dismiss them for extended periods of time. They also age accordingly - waiting two years before picking up Loden and Laika from the temple means they'll be two years older than their starting age when you actually hire them.

All NPCs also have their unique background stories which you can explore by increasing their Affection. Raising Affection unlocks new assignment options and might increase their willingness to contribute more to your household depending on their task.

With the 0.8.1 Alpha release, you'll be able to hire:

* Loden (Temple of Yidhra).
* Laika (Temple of Yidhra).
* Armand (Bank of Ikaanos).
* Loren (Moe's Tavern).

All added NPCs have full renders and full background stories, as well as various anecdotes/custom dialogue based on their current assignments.

Loren has a fully rendered sexual interaction option as well.

The MC can now ask a household girl to take his hand in marriage. If she accepts, the player will have a whole new set of features available to him.

- Going through the ceremony and making the right choices can grant you huge amounts of Influence, Willpower enhancing events and priceless gifts.
- A newly wedded wife will be immediately transferred to the wife slot, freeing up her space for another slave/servant in your household.
- A wife can work or study just like any other girl, or take on one of the sacred duties of a wife: slave mistress, herald or stewardess. (More duties will become available with the combat upgrade in 0.8.3).

Major announcement regarding development priorities!

I've come to the conclusion that continuing with the current follower system to 0.8.3, which is due out next year, only adds more confusion and feeds the "WIP" feeling we already have regarding slave quests and renders.

Therefore, hopefully for the 0.8.1.1 Alpha, I'll implement the first part of the combat revamp, which includes:

- Assign anyone to any slot. Wanna go out with Laika, Loden and your two kids, fighting some low level enemies? No problem! Want to hire Felix, Black Guard, Mr. Doyle and Ayden for some charuck fun? Go ahead! Or maybe you prefer fighting only with your wife and two kids? Sure!
- Revamped mercenary system. Train your mercenaries, assign them to different duties, hang out (activities), visit a coffee shop with Enya, seduce them and equip any armor/weapons. Mercenaries behave like other "servants" with the same options you have for Loren, Laika, your kids etc.
- Assigning a follower works just like a profession, as seen in the screenshots. This enables me to execute more advanced checkers for future quests and rids the game of "rubber-band" slaves that suddenly leave your party to go riding, studying or working.
- No more moving around slaves to assign them. The Annex and Household has been almost completely merged on that front. As seen in one of the examples attached to this post - I'm able to assign any (up to four) slaves regardless of their household position.
