CRPGs + trainer porn games + 40k. What an amazing combination.
I'm loving this a lot and I'm honestly more interested in the world building and story than the lewds.
The writing and the use of crpg mechanics are really well done, I was blown away from the character creation. Wasn't expecting so much quality in those aspects.
Combat feels a bit rough in terms of playability but I guess tools like twine are clunky to work with.

I'm the same, but found that after a couple weeks of playing the lewds grow on your massively as well. The pics are expertly posed, and often extremely erotic so they don't get old easily. Of particular interest are the text elements, they're not just your typical porn-themed random word salads we all know from other "randomized" games, in Raana the text seems to really describe things that have a psychological reality behind them, and they're deliberately kept short and to the point, like little sex poems (without the rhymes). It is captivating and really grows on you.

A thought for the dev: seems like something really has to be done about making "Daily Houserules" for each girl more accessible. Right now you find yourself going through endless menus to finally find it: "Uhh, was it under Inspect or Overview again..." And then confusingly its defined layout place is sometimes taken up by another menu of a similar name/function. This is gonna make newer players completely overlook the existence of Houserules for the girls.

I know it's there and so I go deep diving for it each time, but confusion definitely reigns in that respect right now.

One of the things i enjoy while hanging here, is when people mention my coffee emotes.
But i like both tea and coffee in equal measure, but yes, one or the other is always next to me at all times, even in summer.
I thought it was a great representation for me.
Feel free to start using the emote too, my good drinks cult will spread further~

Fixed a major bug that would permanently remove the option to assign a slave to a job if you deleted or transferred another slave to the arena while she was active with that assignment.

I have the same bug with titles : I can't asign quatermistress anymore.

I think Grim added a button so that you can fix that at any time in v8.1:

But i would recommend to wait for a bit, Grim will post hotfixes for 8.1 later, it would be best to play 8.1 once those are in.

At the most it would be a monetary fine. Although technically banned, the beating and killing of slaves seems to be overlooked by society as long as it isn't done openly. To quote GrimDark:

Remember that the Raanic laws governing slavery was set right after the severance, by a society that was still mostly civil. In reality, little remains of those laws today, two chaotic centuries later. Even if it's still technically prohibited to kill or severely beat your slave for no apparent reason, it's something most of your peers would just shrug about, and no law enforcer would ever act on it unless it's done in the open on a civilized street. And even then you'd only face a monetary fine.

There will be whoring, the engine on which it will run is not in yet though.
But this game gives you a lot of freedom of choice, it will be up to you to whore them out or not, ultimately.

A big preview of the new prostitution stuff is due in a couple of days. "Pimp" will be an entirely new profession, just like working at the Academy, although with a lot more choices and random events.

Was the player's portrait options cmpletely changed since 7.9, or am I just getting diffrent options due to picking a diffrent starting choices?

The new ones are kind of a big step down. I look like a fuccboi.

Edit: On that note, which starts do people prefer? I tend to go soldier all the way, since it gives me a pretty good combat stat.
All this seems to do is make me known to a couple of other veterans around town.

Does anybody go scientist or doctor? What does that change for you?
