That's the the strength of the game, you make your choices in the game. You don't have to get all the girls, you don't have to have a wife or children, you don't have to do BDSM stuff, you don't have to sell slaves, you don't have to buy implants, fight in the arena, etc. You play however you want, build your character however you want, spend your money on whatever you want. Not doing some things is somewhat limiting, but it's all about how you want to play.

There's probably going to be a way to have time go faster, there's already an 'advance day' feature and that might eventually lead to some way to pass time much quicker.
Right now the feature is mostly beneficial for the ones who've already done the grind (one guy on the Discord is into the 26th century) and/or have piles of cash just lying around. That really won't work for me as I don't think there's any real way to 'age' children up that isn't creepy as fuck; I'd have to retcon that in my head to an old flame from the dissolute life my Rise from the Ashes character was living before the game dropping some teenagers on my doorstep.

No, just load your old save! Versions are fully complatible.

Depending on your play style, you can end up with a harem of loving concubines and a wife, a stable of prostitutes (willing or not), or an endless series of mind-broken fucktoys to abuse, train and sell. These are not rigid routes to follow: you make choices on how you will treat your slaves and employees, and there are consequences to that treatment. There are also a number of female mercenaries that you can romance into employees with benefits. None of this comes easy and it will take time for you to reach your goals, but a loving harem is certainly achievable. However the game is much more than this, with political and religious sub plots, cults, monsters, bandits and civil war. It's an immersive world and one of the best games on the site in any format.

I mean I already have a harem full of corrupted and submissive girls. I am married to the 18 year old noble rebel leader. I will probably rule the world by the end game. This game is all about harem.
