Just one data point, but putting ten of my goldwalkers in my tavern (in upgraded rooms) actually DROPPED my net daily income. I've pressed on in hopes that a higher rep tavern will make it worth it, but unless there's a step change near 1,000 I don't think it will. With 18 people committed including the prostitutes the tavern really isn't looking like good value.
To my observation, tavern goldwalkers don't actually earn any money (why?). Nowhere to the extent of street goldwalkers, anyway. Doesn't look like they directly increase tavern income to any great extent either - only contribute to the growth of tavern reputation.
In terms of sheer profit, another rifle factory definitely beats a 1000 rep tavern by an order of magnitude. Just like in real life
ed: tavern whores do add to tavern income, but the formula is very different from street whores. For street whores, corruption and affection seem to play a major role, while for tavern whores, it's prostitution score, beauty and vaginal xp (oral xp and charisma are used for both). Perhaps super experienced whores would generate more income after being transfered to the tavern, but run of the mill ones with nothing but corruption and affection to show for it are better off working the streets.
Running the ring is where the real money are. Easily 4 times the passive goldwalker income - and those assigned to other jobs can participate, too!
