Clemency
I have a question. How to tackle the food supply issue. I'm not quite there yet but already with just 20 or so people i can see the market's stock is shrinking fast.
That single Farm will cover all the needs of a massive household? I'm not yet there to acquire the farm and never built it before.
Which farm? Zapin Fields from Averil Lewis' quest? Or Burakumin Village from clearing the Black Scorpion gang in Raikan?
Burakumin needs time to ramp up food production but it can support a decently sized house when upgraded. Zapin Fields though is amazing at food production once you get it going. It can be providing you with upwards of 600 food per day or higher depending on your investment on it. That 600 is from an upgraded Zapin fields with only 20 workers sent there and at 80 stability (you can send up to 50 workers and have up to 100 stability). Once you purchased the transport upgrade, the food is even automatically delivered to your house and added to your inventory.
For now, one of the best thing you can do is homeschool a girl in Domestic up to 80 and assign her the title Pantry Girl in NPC Menu ---> Jobs and Titles. You can read the description in the title: at 80 Domestic, she will make it so everyone in the house consumes one less ration per day.
If your main worry is running out of food supply and money is not a problem, you can click "Auto Buy Rations" in the Food section of your Economy tab. It did not affect market food supply.
A couple of things about Zapin Fields I'm not sure where to put: certain Conclude Day events can reset the level of your farms (Alien Vermin for example). You will have to travel there to upgrade the fields again. These events are more prevalent in Grimdark and A Dying World difficulties. And here is the wiki entry for Zapin Fields:
You must be registered to see the links
. The stability modifier each new NPCs assigned there gives is also affected by the stability of Zapin fields itself. So at 90 stability, a guy you sent there that should have yielded +2 stability may only yield +1.
