Catchy isn't itIf for no reason than for giving us the phrase mental hygiene
Thanks. I appreciate the sentimentWell, in that case here's to hoping one day it does become the one reason for your issues.

I didn't know that but it makes sense as it has just that right old timey scientific feeling that sounds both official and mildly inappropriate at the same time. It's definitively going to be something I use in internet debates from now on.Catchy isn't itIt's how mental health is referred to sometimes in psychology and it stuck!

Exploiting a feature is not necessarily 'legal'*whistles innocently, trying to hide the fact that I am staying in an older version of the game to grind 600 Manipulate and 600 Kissing legally*
Yeah, that is the primary problem with Secretive. I have not encountered that problem since I have not started a new account but a lot of new accounts run into that particular problem. There are workarounds but it is not intuitive.BTW, sometimes the "secretive" trait can be a real pain in the ass. In my current run, both Trulls and Cassius are secretive. You can not extract any secret from this two beasts, at least not without red hot irons (and the game don´t allow it) and this have screwed my usual combat line up royally. I would have to wait till have access to Palace and buy a couple of whipping pills,
Till them, they are working at the workshops. Well, that will give the good old Doyle a second wind...
Well, Aria's entire questline probably takes bare minimum 500 days of getting ready without cheats or exploits so it's a given I will be playing past day 300. I also just like getting my household to certain stat thresholds. No need to rush it though. It took me almost a year of real life time to even get to day 1000+. Some days you just skip days at a time in-game.When I see people talking about a game with 4-5 years of playing, I lose my mind.
I can´t understand it. For me the game lost interest in the day 230-270, when I have played all the events and quests (and some more just for being sure). But hey, to each one his own...
It's just a matter of play style. I'm the type to play for 6 months to a year of game time and decide I could have made better progress if I did XYZ instead of whatever I did in the current game so I start over. Or Grim adds new starting options I want to try or something. I don't think I've ever had a game reach 2 years so far so I've only managed to complete the rebellion once so far. It's really not possible to do it quickly without cheating. When I see people talking about a game with 4-5 years of playing, I lose my mind.

Wait wait wait, I´m missing something here????Well, Aria's entire questline probably takes bare minimum 500 days of getting ready without cheats or exploits
This is what he's talking about taking so long. Have you done this yet?Wait wait wait, I´m missing something here????
In my fat ass merchant game I have the Procom Counter Coup at day 238. I have keep playing till day 273 and in this 38 days i have no actions or events or quests that I remember in the Aria questline. If I talk with her in the morning, she is just Talking about politics, and may be some endo of the day event, at most.
I have made no cheats or exploits in my gameplay, short of repeating some combats. Just regular gameplay.
There are more Aria content after this?
NB, I can not remember if the Dingy raiders were before or after the Procoms event at this moment.
This now becomes philosophical about where the divide is between modding and cheating. And I always fall on the side of let people play how they want to play. I never understood this attitude about "cheating" in single player games. Why do you care if someone circumvents a mechanic in THEIR game?I was not referring to modding, but the sheer amount of requests for 'code to change this or that...'. I believe there is a distinct difference between modding and cheating. A mod adds something that isnt there in the first place or makes something behave different, if it already exists. Cheating tries to circumvent a mechanic to achieve a certain result.
yep you are the bessstest E'ver! we all feel blessed to bask in your presence. It is just masterful how you have the best combat teams and the best household and the best gameplay strategies and the best economies. I don't know why I even said anything to try and help the bessstest e'ver! was foolishness on my end. I mean it must be complete fluke that we mere mortals get results we want and have no trouble managing our households.1.) No. Happiness is actually in equilibrium in my house. I never had affection drops. There is however a stronger affection decay this patch, 0.8.3.7; that decay is functionally stopped once your NPC reaches 116 Affection. That might be causing your affection drops and you attribute it to happiness when it's just the in-built mechanics
2.) I'm not complaining about my household. They are managed pretty well. More than well in fact. I just said there's a funny willpower drain for anyone below 30 willpower. And it is not tied to badfester. And that it might be affecting other people's accounts too.
3.) Without the unconscious training exploit, I do not think anyone can train a random NPC to be as good as a fully trained 0 exploits Cassius Bauer or Clea Vallas. Best you can do is create a dodge tank. Given the enemies of Aria's Rebellion, a dodge tank will excel vs the warmasters and possibly fall to the Bofors and the minigun enemies. Should still be doable however especially now that spells are a thing, NPCs can access level 2 health implants as opposed to only level 1 back then, and Vallas exists now to ensure the death of the 70/70 soak APC with her Liberator trait.
Look you have your goal which is high willpower servants and slaves which I think is doable but you are swimming upstream. You are going against the current which is to make servants and slaves have less willpower over the long hall.Well to be clear the head maid issue was one I had been trying to mitigate prior to that. I didn't have a very large household and I was trying to capitalize on the fact that the head maid can spread discipline to everyone else, and she was the only household member that could really fit that bill. I actually spent a few in game weeks purely sermon'ing her up to about 40 willpower, which just didn't last as long as I was hoping it would.
If I sounded like I was complaining about every suggestion I didn't mean it to come off that way, I was just trying to directly engage with the helpful feedback I was getting and did so in list form. I'm somewhat burned out on the at times excessive/tedious busy work that can often make time in the day and your own patience the most limiting resource, and maybe that came through in my comment. (Looking at you cigar room. Four hours a day for 10 days for a single stat point?)
Make her the best she can be skill wise so she is competent at her job but subservient to your will though affection and low willpower. So I've been curious with everyone talking about Aria's questline. It seems like it should be very involved and rewarding, with a bunch of unique slaves and books, but it states in her backstory that her goal in becoming chancellor is to end slavery and bring equality to Ikkaros. How does that not just end with the dissolution of your entire household?
I just wish there was a way to see the actual point value for affection.
Who says I care? I was simply wondering about the amount of requests of that kind in this thread. Dont twist my words into something that was never said. This now becomes philosophical about where the divide is between modding and cheating. And I always fall on the side of let people play how they want to play. I never understood this attitude about "cheating" in single player games. Also people "cheat" in different ways. Some people cheat to get more character points or give themselves more starting cash. Who cares? Some people cheat to get more influence and still others cheat to give themselves more character points for character creation. And they don't cheat in other ways.
Other people will make a character legit but then cheat to get the perfect servant or slave because it is a fantasy of their or they just want X slave for Y reason. Why does it matter?
If this was a multiplayer game or had some kind of leaderboard based on single player play then you'd have a point but it isn't.
My advice is let people play how they want to play. You'll have less stress and enjoy life more when you stop worrying what other people are doing and just worry about what you do.
