I really hope to see how far this goes, I can still remember when the original Breeding Season was, basically, at this exact point content-wise and I loved that game until the troubles happened (and I certainly have a lot that could be said about certain parties involved in that, and their later games that...followed in suspiciously similar tracks as BS) the original game was fantastic in terms of having just the right balance of porny content and gameplay mechanics without skewing too hard either way, making it a cute and addictive game and even if all this was, was a straight remake of it I'd love it; but I look forward to see where this goes!

I hope this one can go the distance as well. BS was fun and had a lot of fetishes by the time the group had a falling out. It seemed to have a little of everything. Can't wait for this to exceed and I'm sure it will succeed.

Interesting that you bring up "keeping most of the money for himself" while ignoring the part where Hbomb collected an obscene amount of money while the game was in patreon limbo. It was literally the highest-earning patreon project at the time, at >$42k a month. And even before Spurple dipped, the project was incredibly slow with updates coming out at a dead snail's pace because Hbomb kept changing his mind about shit. Or was too busy streaming unrelated games on twitch(he literally advertised his twitch channel on the breeding season blog). The man didn't even know how to make a basic contract - it isn't hard to prevent an employee from walking out with all their work, which was considerably more work than Hbomb did.

I genuinely don't blame Spurple for leaving. I don't think that forbidding further use of his art was the right thing to do, but it was ultimately his work to do what he wanted with. If he hadn't, we might still be waiting for updates to that dead game.

If your game instantly dies when a single employee leaves, you should probably try being a better boss. I hope that these devs at least learned that much from the whole disaster.

Funny how you decide to ignore how agressive your favorite artist is with any project even remotely similar to his own to ensure he has no competition whatsoever.
Like I said on a previous post, that attitude doesn't really make it look like he believes his own project would survive having competitors...

At 43k+ a month, he could have hired multiple new artists if he wanted to. Hell, he could've even started over and plenty of people would have accepted it.

Just a heads up. Most game project don't survive a change in artist. Either there's a hard cut in the artstyle that throw people off, or all the art has to be changed which ends up alienating fans. That's a lose-lose scenario.
I'm not implying anything regarding the OG Breeding Season. I'm just saying changing artists tends to be a project killer.

Hermaphrodites with another sex??? Well that is questionable.
Most fiction has Futa with a base sex so accept them as that base sex. People seem to not really care at all about hermaphrodites, they have many problems and would not be anime worth other than for humor.

Futanari is the japanese term used for hermaphrodites. Those exists in real life. Very few are fully functional on both sides, but it can happen.
The only thing questionable here is your need for a porn game about breeding monsterfolks to be as realistic as possible.

I feel like you should use character images from the latest build because they look so much nicer then the old art. Also how do I get new monsters? Also wish for a option to turn off futa and male player, and to be able to breed the player

That would cause the artist to sue the Love OS team. Very bad idea. S-Purple has already threatened multiple "monsterfolk breeding" project to ensure his own was basically the only one in the genre. Basically using any asset from the original game, starting from the point he joined as lead artist, is akin to juggling with a set of live grenades.

i wonder what exactly prompts the idea of "breeding season3d" but i for my self have filled that itch with breeders of the nephelym, i liked, no thats an understatement : loved BS. and i would really hope there would just be an real succsessor out there one day, iwill be bland, i am not an huge fan of 3d grafics. especially not of this quality, and was more intoo the style of
" oldscool" BS especially with the bestial focus, art wasnt insane but had some girth and grudge to it, will look out on this one, but its to early to expect something here

As for the details of player x monster breeding - I can't tell you much yet, just wait until the feature is implemented because I need to test the feature. Can't promise stuff yet.

Also S-Purple doesn't own Breeding Season, just the dialogue sprites.

There was some split between creators of original Breeding Season,basically developer lost all assets,because art creator claimed copyright on them.

I see some person elaborated it well

Same for mod called Fool for darkest dungeon,there was major drama,claim about theft,despite two modders and art designer working together,then some argue came up and drama with it

Rename game,and avoid any remote closure to S-Purple art. Just friendly advice

It's funny how hyper aggressive he is; dude lost his absolute mind over people modding a mod he made for Darkest Dungeon (He did the art for a fairly cool character class, but gave her massive tits that the creator alleges they didn't ask for. It's possible they were lying to save face on the less degenerate board I spoke to them with so take that with a grain of salt) and the general community thought the character looked bloody stupid and out of place with cartoonishly great honkers. When asked if he could tone it down he angrily said no. When people made their own mod that simply edited his mod (as in not a full reupload, just a mod to modify his mod), he reported them to steam and got them banned.

He also very definitely name searches. I've run into him on multiple different platforms where we'd be discussing his curious scam habits and he'd just kind of show up, furious. So he's pretty definitely going to be reading this thread, and probably reading these posts and so I'd just like to say: stay mad, my fragile little dude.

I understand - sorry about that. I removed the FPS Cap for testing purposes because I need them to be 100fps+ on my PC to guarantee the game will work on laptops.

In [0.0.2] I set the FPS cap to 60

I agree with distancing yourself from the original, and more so be "inspired". All I pray is for the simple glory of breeding and actual farm management. None of the stupid ass combat shit or the 1900s platform fetch quests crap.

WellPatreon doesn´t allow Incest, so I guess it will most likely be along the lines of a cheat or adding a file or changing a variable in the settings file.
There are ways to have "forbidden" stuff fly under the radar.

A cheat for these features is the simplest and safest way to enable that content. Just dont post it on Patreon or any other site the forbids it. Let sleeping Dragons be.
