Trying the game for the first time but it's like brutally difficult on level 1. Get caught and press A + D and no matter how fast or try to time it to what I see on screen (instead of just spam) I basically never have a chance at getting free so I don't get the point. I get corrupted at 5 times but since enemies can come from behind me unless I memorize the timings of everything along with my attacks I don't get how to progress at all.

This feels like a brutal platformer but maybe that's just the point in which case, okay.

It's not so bad once you get used to it, though the struggle meter could use abit of tuning in player favor

I'd say it depends. If you are actually invested in the character/story, the rape scenes being from getting caught makes a lot of sense. Just like the character you're playing, you struggle and try to avoid them.

Then when they actually do happen, they just hit all the more.

Which is why galleries are all the more important. With a gallery to work towards you can no-fail a game and still enjoy everything you missed at the very end of the game. Eye candy as a reward for a job well done.

Yes, 3 ways: 1) using my table. ("Set screen resolution")
2) Create a shortcut (or call from cmd etc.) with the parameter: -screen-fullscreen 1
Or even more: Max_The_Elf_DEMO.exe -screen-fullscreen 1 -screen-fullscreenmode 0 -screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440
-screen-fullscreenmode options: 0:ExclusiveFullScreen 1:FullScreenWindow 2:MaximizedWindow 3:Windowed (for 0+1 use -screen-fullscreen 1, for 2+3 use 0)
3) Last option: regedit: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\T-Hoodie Draws\Max_The_Elf_DEMO" - set "Screenmanager Fullscreen mode_h3630240806" to 1 of above's fullscreenmode options.

Please help. Trying to open the gallery option just leads to a black screen and nothing loads, forcing me to close the game. What's the fix for this issue? (The rest of the game works just fine)

I still don't fully understand the reasoning for this, because I ran into the same issue before the HallowDeen update. It might be wise to have Task Manager open if you're still running into the same issue with that update so you can see if there are any processes that might be running alongside it and causing it to falter.

There aren't any other processes running that would affect it. I even restarted my pc twice but the issue remains

Hmmm...just to make sure, which version are you on? I don't think it's a version specific issue, but it's worth checking.

Technicaly speaking it was ready to go last year but people just kept asking for more so now its 1 level per yer system, i guess. 1 proper level each year with great artstyle is more than 98% of eromarket can provide.

for sure, one of the reasons I rarely check this forum anymore is because of all the abandoned projects and obvious cash grabs.
I dont even see hoodie as a dev, but mostly as an artist, so Im more surprised he keeps going with this game for so long.

I guess the erogame market is still healthier than the indiegame market, somehow.

There's two games that's close to this that I played:
Baracop (Abandoned) - Once the enemy is defeated, you can chose to play with them or not.
Tales of Androgyny - Either defeat them and choose to play, get defeated and get it. Shifting the momentum between topping and bottoming is pretty hard.

I'm sure there's others.

In its current form, it’s a lovely taste of something greater — a playful, promising morsel that leaves one hungry for the full course. I only hope the chef returns to the kitchen soon, so we might finally savor this adventure in its entirety.
