Legally it would be a possible issue of copyright. Ethically it would also be an issue. You can’t just take of another’s idea and run with it.

And it’s a fairly popular game so it wouldn’t go unnoticed. The easiest thing would be to start with a new idea with a similar concept and themes.
Legally? really? Like someone would try and take you to court over a porn game?
Ethically? its a porn game man, apart from maybe the devs nobody really gives a shit.

Well, you see... I'm one of the devs indeed and if anyone tried to steal my story and tried to make money with it, I wouldn't take kind to that :WeSmart:

And I agree. Apart from the devs no-one would give a shit. It makes sense. If someone stole your car, YOU would definitely care, but nobody else would give a shit. The thief that stole it wouldn't care at all :ROFLMAO: That doesn't change the fact that it's stealing and it's highly unethical.

Porn or not it's still intellectual property. Are you trying to say that the girl author that wrote "50 Shades of Gray" and now makes a shit-ton of money not only from books but from movies and stuff doesn't have any significance because it's "porn"?

I won't do that if I were you, your right about the law not giving a shit about some porn game. but when you talk about ethics, that's a different story.

do you know the controversy surrounding a game called Lovers Lane where the dev made a VN based on an erotic novel without asking for the author's permission?
if you don't let me spoil it for you, it wasn't nice. users stopped talking about the game and instead start talking about the ethics of taking someone else's work without his permission and making a living out of it. and some users start to harass the dev into abandoning his game.

so what do you think is going to happen if someone starts making Measuring My Cum (a game so popular on this forum) without the dev's permission? will let me tell you... it's going to be a BLOODBATH!!!

Thing is if someone was posting it here and not on paetron or whatever they wouldnt be making any money and if the project has been shelved anyway whats the harm?

as for the ethics I find it ridiculous with all the corporate greed and corruption that goes on in the world folk are going to start pearl clutching at 'you copied my cartoon tits' obviously theft is wrong but i wouldnt lose any sleep over a porn game.

Maybe not, but people have been sued for a lot less.
