Don't take the bait. Oled, aka jehaknaboom, isn't actually concerned about racism. You should see the shit he posts on E-H.
I have no idea why he's pretending to be offended here.

(The subtitle on the cover, which was obviously edited and NOT how it was originally posted by Kannel)
(The top comment. Honestly I don't know where to begin with this one...)
(The original title that Oled used for this comic, which you can see in gray below the current correct title. Other users had to petition to get the title corrected multiple times because Oled kept reverting it back to his preferred title every time he updated it with more pages)

He disowns most of his uploads, so unfortunately you'll just have to take my word for it that #1 and #3 are him too, since I saw those when jehaknaboom's name was still on them. And for those of you who don't know how to access this site and just see the sad panda, (warning: racist and transphobic comments).
This is interesting, but it has very little do to with what we're discussing. We're talking about racism against Asians, which is offensive to me because I'm Asian.

Makes more sense now. Actually disgusting. I've seen some of Jehaknaboms uploads and all of them were pure malice. Especially redoing one of Kannel work, adding racism to it and then say "it was the artist, dont attack me". What pissed me off today was when I saw this the artists is already uploading her work on E-H, but jehakna is doing it now as well BUT!!! (also check out the original artist AnyaArt, shes pretty good and has a cute comic going)
View attachment 3767193
It doesn't sound like malice to give an artist an advertising boost on one of the best platforms to do so. A lot of artists, including Anya, post their own work on E-Hentai because of all the traffic.

I'm not sure how you're so sure the Kannel edit originated from that uploader. How do you know they didn't get it from somewhere else? Also, the edit was objectively better than the original.

And please don't call people "disgusting." It's not very nice. How would it make you feel to be called "disgusting"?

That is an insanely hypocritical and self-centered viewpoint. Being racist against black people is okay because you're not black? Well Melissa isn't Asian, so I guess that means she shouldn't care what you think, right?

Sort out your own blatant racism/homophobia/transphobia before criticizing others. Glass houses, pot and kettle, etc, etc, etc.

Edit: Also, how crazy is it that someone who seemingly spends even more time on TG fiction/comics/porn than me is transphobic? That is bonkers. I can't even begin to diagnose what is going on in that brain.

I'm not racist against anyone. Do I not have the right to be offended when I am the victim of racism, when someone mocks and denigrates my race?

Edit: How am I transphobic?!

Racism is a mindset of a group of people, who discriminate peoples for THEIR skin colour, their origin, their language and there background,,
It is a poison, I would not accept racism in any form !
In America black peoples are discriminated for their skin colour, Asian's are also discriminate for their look ,
Indians are also discriminated in US , Europe for our background! And I saw this with my own eyes!
Poor peoples are discriminated for their financial background! Somewhere, womens are also discriminated being women!

Racism is everywhere, some are not visible, somes are visible, it is a mindset of sick people, who thought they are superior to others and they have the God given rights to bully, destroy THEIR mental health for pleasure!.
Sorry if my words are not appropriate, currently after watching this kind of racism i am little upset now

Nah I'll stick with disgusting. Harassing a content creator to change their story because one doesn't like it is disgusting behavior. And please don't forget how Jehaknabom reported AnyaArt's work as AI and now pretends to be some kind of messiah trying to help the artist?

Whitewashing Kannel's art and calling it objectively better? YOU ARE THE RACIST because the first page of the edit literally uses the N-Word! Yeah sure, I've seen enough trolls on the internet and this is just laughable and pathetic. :KEK:

I've read enough AITA (am I the asshole) posts on reddit to know that (assuming even a fraction of them are true) people are self serving enough to ignore warning signs for their own desires.
Terry Pratchett has a character in his "Discworld" series meditating on that:

Humans have a built-in reflex to go where they're not wanted and to do things they're told not to just to find out what happens.

If somebody set up a big red button with a sign that said

END OF THE WORLD BUTTON
Do not press!

the paint wouldn't have a chance to dry.
{The foregoing is not even APPROXIMATELY a direct quote from PTerry, but it conveys the sense}

AM - I'm wondering if there will be a contrast between the current two scenes.
Elena and Nikos - ecstasy prolonged versus Marina and Inspector - unsatisfactorily short.
In a way, karma because I can't shake the feeling that Marina offered up Andrew from the beginning.

This part would be a good chance to get an idea if where Marina is on all this. Is she just short term pissed (justifiably so) at Andrew and still has hoped fur getting things back with him, or has she decided that it's all over.

You misunderstand me. I wasn't a making a request. It was an imperative. You need to start being nicer to people, so that you don't suffer the consequences by disrespecting people you shouldn't.

It that a threat against her? You've just lost my respect. :( Back on 8muses, I used to think kind of highly of you. I'm not sure what is going on in your personal life that is making you want to lash out at people. Self-hatred over your own fetishes, perhaps? Don't blame us for what either your religion or your culture considers "forbidden/haram". Why don't you take a little vacation and come back with a new attitude. Redeem yourself before it is too late. Stop playing the childish games and hiding behind aliases. You are not as clever as you think you are. At this point, you are just embarrassing yourself. I pity you.

No, it wasn't meant to be a threat at all. Sorry if it came across that way. It's just that being disrespectful to people can often lead to bad consequences, especially if it's toward the wrong person at the wrong time. I don't want Myra to get caught up in something like that.

I don't have any self-hatred or any of that kind of stuff, and I think highly of you as well. :)

So not a threat... but totally a threat. Oled65cxpua aka Jehaknaboom, please give us a tiny bit of respect. We are not the fools that you take us for. If you want to troll and gaslight people, please pick a different community. There is an old idiom that you should adhere to, " ". :ROFLMAO: It is good advice, please take it. (y)

I'm so sorry, maybe it's a language barrier, but I totally don't see how that was a threat. I can understand if it came across that way. That wasn't my intention, so I apologize for that. It's just some general advice directed at Myra to help him avoid getting into trouble.

Look, I just don't want to be the victim of racism because I'm Asian. That's about it. This devolved into a whole irrelevant personal discussion which wasn't what I wanted at all.

In a way, karma because I can't shake the feeling that Marina offered up Andrew from the beginning.
I laid out my thinking before on Marina being involved from the very beginning:

I'm not sure I saw any evidence that Marina was involved in turning Andrew into Elena. Let's assume she was an active participant in wanting to change Andrew into Elena. That would require the scenes where she's shocked or upset by Andrew's transformation to be an act.

That's possible... but that would completely contradict some of her other actions.

GREECE834.png GREECE834.png

There's no reason for her to freak out over Andrew ignoring the safeword if she's "in" on wanting to keep Andrew feminized. You compare that with Nikos and Sofia that are quite clearly happy to have Andrew stay as Elena (for reasons that are still a bit unclear).

But, let me play devil's advocate and argue that the above panel is her freaking out about the safeword not working is because even though she wants to help feminize Andrew, the fact that he's ignored the safeword means something else is mentally wrong (at this point, no one knows about the memory loss nor the method acting problem, outside of Andrew). If we assume she's complicit in wanting to feminize Andrew, she can still be concerned that it's going "too well".

Well, that contradicts her actions at the pool, where she's upset that Elena is sleeping with Nikos. You can't feminize your husband into your Aunt, and then be surprised that she's having sex? And as a reach, let's argue for a second that this confrontation was more acting on Marina's part.

GREECE1292.png GREECE1292.png

That's an inner thought bubble, and so we clearly see that Marina is actually upset over Elena sleeping with Nikos.

So whatever your stance on Marina, I don't see the argument that Marina's been in on this plot to feminize Andrew. In fact, we had a whole chapter that was dedicated to flat out spelling out to the reader that apparently there was no conspiracy to keep Andrew feminized, and that (since the surgery) it's been Andrew's plan all along and what he didn't expect was losing his memories.

Now I'll take it at face value that Andrew is correct. I sincerely believe that chapter was trying to "course correct", and was spelling out what the reader should know by that point. However, that explanation doesn't (and I don't think was meant to) explain all the weirdness of how Andrew started down that feminization path in the first place. Like getting the more extreme feminization surgery is kind of played off as a series of coincident accidents, but I'm assuming that's not a satisfying answer to most of us and we're assuming there's been someone setting up Andrew.

GREECE1188.png GREECE1188.png

Is basically telling us directly, and it's a bit of a splitting hairs situation, that Andrew staying as Elena is all his own doing, but getting onto that path, by feeling threatened and having this whole mob conspiracy, is someone's doing. The unclear part that we're all speculating on is "was the feminization the end goal the whole time, or is it a (happy?) side effect of the actual goals?" Because it seems pretty unlikely that someone would go through all this trouble just to feminize Andrew, who is just a nobody. Hence all the speculation of "needing to free up Marina to marry someone else", "the family thinks Andrew isn't worthy of Marina", and other things.
I don't think we're gonna get a retcon that Marina was involved the whole time, because her being upset simply doesn't make sense if she was part of it from the start. I mean, you can't turn your husband into a sex toy for your uncle, and then get mad that she has sex with your uncle!

This part would be a good chance to get an idea if where Marina is on all this. Is she just short term pissed (justifiably so) at Andrew and still has hoped fur getting things back with him, or has she decided that it's all over.
I've beaten this horse to death about the inner thought bubble kinda ruining my hope that this is part of a ruse, so I'll say this about my hopes for upcoming parts:

1) I think Marina does look hot and if nothing else, more renders of that please!

2) I hope we don't have this drama go back and forth. If this is part of a ruse, and Marina is still trying to get info out of the Inspector to help Andrew, I'm praying here that Elena doesn't get her panties in a twist and start lecturing Marina about being unfaithful. I'm so completely done with drama due to people not just talking like adults.

I don't mind being called a bad writer or artist. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But calling me racist is way too much. I've written a lot of cultural transformation stories. In all of them the protagonist loses the ability to speak their mother tongue properly at some point. This is all about loss of power, which is important in the domination/feminization genre. There are Koreans helping me with "kpop". So yeah, I asked Koreans themselves the pronunciation mistakes that were okay to write when creating a character supposedly not fluent in English.

I wasn't explicit in my earlier post because I didn't want to engage in a discussion that already felt a bit in bad faith, so I focused on giving advice to other writers that were contemplating the best ways to tastefully handle cultural changes without leaning on stereotyping. But I'll be explicit now:

I am Asian and no, I don't find this scene in Kpop racist. I've dealt with my fair share of racism in my life. Ranging from the exhausting ("You speak English good") to fear for my life levels of bigotry. I have my criticisms of how the accent is being handled. I laid out a lot of them in I hope enough detail to provoke thinking and understanding. But no, I do not find Kpop to be racist. It's barely uncomfortable without the context, and perfectly fine given the context. Depicting a character with an accent is not racist.

I have no illusions that some people are more easily triggered than me. And when I say I don't find it racist, I understand I can't speak for every Asian. But calling this racist is like the black men that started harassing me because they insisted I was using the N word when I was on the phone speaking Mandarin with my parents (rather than understanding that maybe in other languages similar sounding words exist). It's oversimplifying and not respecting the context of the situation when evaluating whether or not something is offensive.

I stand by my previous thoughts and criticisms on the handling of the accent in that I think it could be more consistent, accurate, and could be reigned back a bit for legibility. But that is a criticism regarding execution, not an accusation of bigotry.

Yeesh this thread went crazy. I didn’t expect this kind of blow up.

I want to clarify what I said, lol. I had trouble understanding the dialect as written in some places. But I wasn’t trying to imply that it comes from a place of malice.

My observation was that the accent was more accentuated here, and I wasn’t sure why. As many have pointed out, it HAD to be accentuated to sell the change, since Nabi’s grammar and syntax have remained unchanged.

Any time you write about cultural transformation, you run the risk of offending people. It’s a fine line, since people have different thresholds for what they consider racist and what they don’t.

But asking people of that background to help with accuracy is as far from bigot behavior as you can get lol. Please don’t feel like you need to take notes from anybody here on how to tell your story.
