Well, she's clearly retarded, so im not sure any faster would make sence :devilish:
lol her stupidity does get on my nerves..at first she was cute but in time she got worse. I get that the whole "naive & cute" young daughter thing but feel like the dev pushed it too far. I liked Elena more but overall the writing wasn't that good in that game imho, hopefully it's better here

How is this compared to Dating my Daughter? Really didn't like how the latter kept forcing that annoying as fuck daughter on you who was just a tease (still no sex..lol). Do the other girls get enough focus here, is the lead female better at least?
Melody is far better than DMD.
I quit playing DMD for several reasons (D does indeed sound retarded, Elena and the other friend looks like prepubescent children, girls' bodies look somewhat unnatural, the story was ridiculous...) but Melody is very good overall. All girls are sexy, there's a nice variety of them, the plot is more interesting and could make sense, etc.

Wait if you think Elena and Jennifer look like prepubescent children and you think all the girls in Melody are sexy, what about Sophia? Doesn't she have some similarities to Elena?

YES she does and it bugged me untill I played a while on DMD then Sophia...... Hey I love both GAMES It's not real. So Fuck It I don't care. I'd rather older looking characters but they are characters in a game not real life.

You are right. And I think the models were designed with this "golden cut" rule. And the lips closer to the nose, not a big chin, etc.. Things that were found in studies to make women most attractive for the majority of men (and some other features). And to cause a cute and protective feeling for them, the head is "too" big in comparison to the body (like babies, cute cartoon figures). So it's all about evolutionary development, which makes the whole thing even "scientific" ;)

Maybe I'm in the minority in this thread, but I like the variation in experiences already available in Dating My Daughter, while Melody is (naturally) playing catchup in that area but has also been perhaps slightly repetitive across the last 2-3 chapters when it comes to activities the characters use to socialize and advance the story. But, that's also the nature of Melody's apparent timeline, so I expect that Melody going to school will start to open things up a bit more.

Also, I have seen DMD as a fantasy tale involving a sheltered princess (D) who slowly realizes what she has missed when enabled to experience the outside world by her would-be prince (i.e., the MC)... and eventually just accepts that she can make her own decisions in life and just go for what she wants - which happens to revolve around her suitor. If they had a third Chapter as was once discussed, they could have then gone into a more complex set of interactions, but instead are now letting things ramp up as puppy love turns to lust and the notion of freedom to make their own choices becomes paramount. Subtlety about their lives and choices is not really on the plate right now, but there are still layers and innuendo about motivations flying around constantly. The story even has an evil witch character!

Melody has a very different premise, I feel: the characters already exist as rather grounded in a real-enough (fictional) world and each have to deal with interpersonal situations, growth into more responsibilities, etc. - so, a markedly different tone than DMD. That's one reason people can more easily relate to Melody's frankness about her goals, her sexuality, etc.: she's meant to be more realistic, as someone living in a contemporary society. Melody is not really a fairy tale, IMHO - but, it has lofty goals for Melody to strive for, potentially.

I like and would recommend both games, but my "fantasy heart" is already taken by DMD :) .

Melody definitely interests me because I'm invested in some of the characters' lives and it's entertaining to be a fly on their wall (making some choices that matter once in awhile), but it feels much less of a thrill than DMD for me ... and that's OK! I honestly think that's purposeful, because it's more like a comfortable, adult drama which you want to visit again, could be happening anywhere and the characters are dealing with issues with which we can sympathize.

In my opinion she doesn't.

I see Sophia more like a small-titted teenage girl. I'm not into teenage girls either (and I mean 15 or 16 y-o, although it's legal to have sex with a 16 y-o in my country), but a girl like Sophia who looks like a 16-17 y-o is not a child. Iit doesn't get me horny but she is not a prepubescent.
Jennifer on the contrary looked like an 11 year-old, Elena looked like maybe a 13 y-o. Their bodies don't even look fully developed, which I find revolting in a porn game tbh.

I agree with you that whatever is shown in a video game is not real. The fact that someone enjoys incest games doesn't mean that they want to fuck their mother, nor does the fact that someone enjoys DMD mean that they want to abuse teenage girls.
However I play this games because I find them exciting and hot, so coming across a prepubescent girl is a big turn-off for me. Like futa, girls with animal tails and so many other fantasies that everyone else is free to enjoy.

We should keep in mind that some of us know people who look very much like you are describing as "prepubescent" and they're actually older teens.

For example, a 17 year-old friend of our family looks like an Indian version of Jennifer from DMD (even has the big hair) and has mentioned that she is constantly being told she can't buy tickets to R-rated movies, was pulled over when driving her family's car because she looked too young, etc.

Yes, that could happen. Sometimes nature is a bitch and not everyone develops at the same pace. She will in time.

But this is a porn game and the dev can create any reality he wants. He could avoid ambiguity if he wanted.
In order to get his players sexually aroused he designed different female characters, among which Jennifer, an alleged 18 y-o who looks like a prepubescent girl. Ok, Mr Dots can do as he wants but I don't buy the argument that if a game character is officially 18 I shouldn't take issue with her child's body.
Please, don't take this personally, I wasn't referring to your message but to reasons given sometimes in this forum.

Anyway I'm sorry for the off-topic I started. I just want to make sure that the conclusion is clear: Melody is a very enjoyable game, in my opinion far better than DMD ;)

It's certainly your right to take issue with anything a Dev offers in their game, I agree. I see people complaining about fictional transgender, gay, dom, submissive, futanari, ugly, young, etc. -appearing or -acting characters across most games out there. As I think you strongly implied, other players might feel similarly, not care about your point or see things rather differently.

In this case, Jennifer is unambiguously post-pubescent: she has noticeable breasts (small, but with larger and somewhat dark areolae), holds a job in a coffee shop and has a demonstrated educational experience level which enabled the MC to help reunite with his daughter after her mother came back to cut off their visit. Sure, she is rather petite, but that's not unrealistic in terms of body types.

I'm personally more interested in personality traits before body, which is why I happen to be married to a woman with not-small breasts yet had a former girlfriend that I found just as physically attractive and who was barely 5', had a fully flat chest and her fair skin only revealed a hint of breasts by the barely pink, pencil-eraser nubs of her nipples. Yet, this was a woman who was fun, independent and rather serious in school and work - you'd not mistake her maturity level due to her build. So, when I mention knowing and accepting older characters with petite body types as easily mature and not just "lolis," I'm talking from personal experience.

As you rightly offer, the Dev is catering to whatever tastes they find appealing to offer and we have (western-style) attractive extremes in Jennifer and Geraldine in DMD as bookends to everyone else falling somewhere in-between. Meanwhile, we also have an MC with a penis that's at one end of the size spectrum while another character - who briefly dated Elena - is closer to the other end of that scale and just adds more input to the story point possibilities. Variety is the spice of entertainment for this type of game, perhaps; further, if a player finds petite builds more attractive, why should we care about the reason? In my case, I like all types but the petite ones at least superficially remind me of my former girlfriend - but, what if someone actually liked loli characters and Jennifer was one physical archetype that fell into their reason to support the game? I don't really care, in that case.

I guess that I see no compelling reason for the Dev to add further clarity in the case of Jennifer's age: he obviously wants to offer different strokes for different folks and has their age and relative maturity backgrounds clear enough, IMHO.

In Melody, I see Sophia as a mix of DMD's Elena and Jennifer, in terms of intelligence, attitudes and body type - again, she's just another variation on a theme, but still obviously more mature than a young kid.

Hopefully this will not come across as an argument, but instead more perspectives on the point you have helped to develop.

Unfortunately, I can not play the game because when starting always hot the exe file is missing.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Because it is missing. It looks as though you are missing several folders /lib and /renpy
If you still have the zip extract it again or re-download the game.
Your melody folder should look like this
