This is unfortunate news, and suggests the fundamental flow and story beats will be very different from what I thought it would be. That's the worst part of including a female pov in any game, unlike individual scenes which can be chosen or not chosen, this style fundamentally changes the design ethos of a game.
Exactly, "female pov" is just shorthand for "slut-em-up-fem-protag snoozefest". It's not like games include a female pov to show her crocheting or going to spin class.
I'm all for it, there won’t be any talk like before about the fact that she already cheated on MC in a club with a black colleague and ect., but it all depends on the development time! Make an update from the two perspectives its up in two or even three times as long!
The better analogy would be how when some AAA games announce a release on both windows and mobile platforms, there's pushback from game fans as they know although 2 platforms offer more ways to play the game, designing with a mobile version in mind often fundamentally changes the gameplay for the worse [in their eyes].
