Ty for the answer and the frame of reference!!Medium-small? It's the largest thing I've ever made by far, but in a fairly... compact package?
- To be fair, it's significantly longer than the Flesh Caverns and even my cancelled Survive of Succumb, eheh! Not enough to justify 6 years, but I wasn't working on it for that long.Wow, i hadn't expected to see another game from you, after you pretty much vanished. Glad you are back, i really liked the flesh cavern and this is also a very nice game. I really enjoy the breeding themes in your games and the realtively light hearted tone while still being a serious story without such tropes as woman enjoying sex being dumb nymphos.
I expected the game to be a bit longer since i thought somethings like the context moves would be used a few times instead of once, but i guess this was a bit of a test run. Did the sex appeal and intinimidation values actually get used somewhere?
I thought after the tease at the end of the flesh cavern Ali would get annother game continuing her story, but while that didn't happen it was nice seeing her again in the good end here. In the epilogue Nova says she remembers Mio is that just some worldbuilding or is there more meaning to it?

Whoops! I forgot to turn that off. It's on by default. Alas, I've gone over my thoughts on including art earlier in the thread a few times now. But I'm glad you enjoyed!Nice game. Would love some visualization though to boost my "research activities", hehe.
Glad you enjoyed the game!Wow... Just wow. I was not expecting such a gem of a game, completed and for free too. I am so glad that I spent a couple more minutes browsing the forums longer than I usually do. I absolutely loved the gameplay, world, characters, their interactions, events, and the small details like the UI. I look forward to your future games and possible updates.
But I do have complaints.
-Map. Like others have said, the key elements of the map need to be redesigned to be more noticeable. I missed 1/3 of the characters in a specific area and discovered their existence, snek, only because of discussions mentioning them on here. A little bit of tweaking to the map, and it would be perfect. Side note, I absolutely love the detailed map over the standard blank squares. I hope you continue to include this in future games.
-The vent pop-up message. Traveling from point to point, I got pretty annoyed with the constant pop-up of the message. I am a right-handed person, so I use the arrow keys with my right hand. Transitioning to the mouse from keyboard got annoying after the first few dozen or so times. I eventually worked around this issue by using the arrow keys with my left hand and my right hand on the mouse. Having a key bind to close the message or having the WASD keys as an option for movement would greatly help, especially if there were to be more of these kinds of messages.
-Key binds. Quite simply, I wish there was more them, especially for combat. The basic combat menu has key binds for additional action menus, but those additional actions themselves do not have key binds. I find that a little odd as the system provides some convenience by providing shortcuts, but those shortcuts lead back to using a mouse anyway. Additionally, I would of liked to see key binds for items. Having a "Use" and "Scrap" key would of been nice. Using the arrow keys to increase or decrease the stack size would of been nice too.
As you can probably tell, I like my games to play smoothly. My last two points were at worst, minor inconveniences. However if the game scale was twice the size or on COC2's scale for example, then I would be pretty annoyed at the lack of the mentioned features. I would definitely still play a game with those issues if the content was stellar, but I would probably start groaning each time I started moving and fighting.
Now, I wish there was more content. That bikini quest for example, I enjoyed that event. It would of been great to see the monsters become more aggressive and excited due to the outfit, leading to them performing more lewd focused attacks or a unique event involving the outfit. Additionally, I would of loved a corruption type of mechanic. I loved seeing Mio get distracted while watching certain "science reports." This, and other events, could of led to our adorable android having more intrusive thoughts during combat and submitting to said thoughts for some fun, leading to a more "friendly" option to combat and more consensual scenes. I also would of loved seeing more lewd solutions of the skill checks. For example, a door was locked and guarded by seemingly "friendly" tentacles. Our main character could indulge into the needs of these tentacles and "convince" her new friends to let her through. Maybe these new friends of ours could get greedy and try to keep their new toy. Or she should just you know, rip the door off its hinges and waddle through, no questions asked.
I realize that what I wish for is essentially more mechanics and more intricate scenes. But they're nothing more than what I want to possibly see in future games or updates, not demands. BUT I DO demand an interaction with the grappler and that chest obsessed monster. Both of them just waddle off while I am sitting here thinking that we'd get to fight them or something. You are a god damn tease.
P.S. Please just tell me that I am blind and stupid. I was really looking forward to those interactions...
The grappler stuff was so hot, I wish there was a way to reread it in the fantasize menu or something. Grabbing the deer chicks antlers and hooking his fingers in her mouth… so goodI realize that what I wish for is essentially more mechanics and more intricate scenes. Glad you enjoyed it! And mm, after I cancelled SoS, I stopped making games for about two years. I started up again once I met some friends I could bounce writing ideas off of, which helped me develop my Glowing World setting, but I languished on Quest5 for a while longer. You haven't missed anything since SoS, basically - nothing released, lots of little projects stopped and started, lots of notes taken for future projects. For anyone interested here's a savegame with all scenes unlocked, every npc rescued and all equipment collected as far i can tell.
Also managed to produce a bug, oops. Nothing big, just the "Shredder rifle" looking like the "Zipper arm cannon" in the inventory, not in the pop up window though. Sadly i have no idea how or even when it happenend but at least i can say it's fixable by dropping it and picking it back up. If you want to have look at it i haven't fixed it in that save.
It was less because of the time between games and more that i don't think i have heard anything from you after survive or succumb got canceled, could just be because of the name change though.
While i also would have liked a scene with the bikini, i didn't feel like there was great fit for it game. The best fit would probably be the goo dolls but that seems to easy to miss in a one of fight and a bit random to specificaly have to where that for that fight. None the less 'Goo Productions' presents "Super fighting android Mio in the net of Jabba, the Bearslug" when? (Yes my favorite scene was the bearslug how did you notice? )
About additional art, while being nice of course, i didn't feel like it was really needed. Though with a picture of Mio, i would have to say goodbye to the imagine in my head, of Mio basically having a metal factory chimney on her head, for better or worse. (Probably better heh)
Good to hear! Just for feedback purposes, I think the art does not have to be a full fledged CG. An avatar which shows what Mio is wearing or feeling should be good to start of with for a small update. Pixelated graphic should fit because the game's UI pixelated as well.Alas, I've gone over my thoughts on including art earlier in the thread a few times now. But I'm glad you enjoyed!
