I'll just suggest what i would try here but not sure if it helps.
1) Check if it runs in japan locales
2) Make sure that the root directory is not too long for file names (most likely problem). Drug the folder in desktop or plainly in "c:/" if needed.
3) Redownload and extract with different extractor app like 7zip,winrar and such

edit: ok there another solution i haven't try that i just read. Kill all enemies and go slow on finish screen.

In the goods and items u click on the game manual and u can turn off bgm. All options are in japanese though so u need to fiddle around

In the goods menu if u use the cheat scroll for max level everyone that is currently in ur party goes to level 40. They need to be in your party to get max level, it won't work for those who arent
