Ok so u are telling me that there are people who actually enjoy breaching 4th wall? because ,hell not that i would find it weird but extremly hard to imagine.. i dont get it, can someone really like that? cold shower on 9 1/2 weeks?
...How about comprimise , make a mod for this kind of stuff (on/off) ?,there is no really need to totally ruin story for those that enjoy it..?

I dont get it. Its complete turn off for me. I spent hour and half reading lines, enjoying story and then BAM.. 4th wall actor talks some shitty stuf about actual outside game stuff. and adressing me..no not cool at all

I think the 4th wall breaking is kinda part of the identity of Midlife crisis.
The tone of the game is first and foremost funny and lighthearted, sexy second. So I agree that you don't want a 4th wall break in the middle of an intense story devellopement or sexy time, but otherwise it's not annoying for me.
But mostly, for those who follow the game for some time, it gives some connection with Nefastus, as he grew his skills and struggled to make his story come to life.

Now I totally get your point, for some people it's a big turn-off or whatever, but as they say to each their own or something like that

While I don't mind the 4th-wall breaking, it's important to remember that there is a lot of comedy in the game that doesn't rely on breaking the 4th wall, so it's not a dilemma between the fourth wall antics and the game being some super-serious drama.

Didn't plan on it..but that makes a lot of sense so planning on it now haha.

My 2 Cents/Pesos/yen/WHATEVER.

1) LOVE the MC. It's VERY nice to have a SOMEWHAT realistic middle aged MC instead of the DOPEY/CREEPY/idiot teen MC. Also kind of nice that he is NOT a perfect ripped model.

2) HUMOR. It's VERY well done. I think the scene where MC tries to be cool and jump over the back of the couch is still my favorite. Yes, it's an almost painful faceplant, but also awesome humor.

3) The LADIES. Love them all. My personal preference would be to get rid of the youngest 'Tenant's' piercings, but they aren't to bad, and I can live with them.

4) CLIFFHANGERS are EVIL.

I love the game, and am patiently pacing and chewing my fingernails while calmly freaking out during the wait for the next update. It feels weird that I can't decide which is more important to me, the HUMOR or SEXY FUN.

With my success at getting a Moose added to Timestamps I wonder if I should do something similar here. Maybe a series of posts about a Llama or something??

Keep up the GREAT work Nefastus .

So as most of you probably know I got punched right in the kisser with the flu early this month. That coupled with it being the shortest month of the year, I wanted to wait until I had a firm grasp on where I was at in terms of the update before I did this post. Good news is the update is on schedule still, though I got nothing done in terms of the rewrite this month. I lost a fair chunk of time to sickness, but that combined with the shortened month was kind of a blessing in disguise. It forced me to rethink my workflow once again, and I think I have found a way to work that keeps me efficient while also not burning myself up.
I mean don't get me wrong, I will still probably drink about 14 gallons of coffee as the end of the month draws near, but maybe I can have one or two of those gallons be decaf next month. Also, this new work dynamic should hopefully allow me to get the rework I want to get done completed before 2063.
