At this point I believe there is a greater than 50% chance this is abandoned because Nef has passed

:(
It's a bummer that most AVN creators exist behind a wall of anonymity, and we can't just find out for sure. There was a lot of us who tried to reach him via private messages on Discord, Email, Patreon/Subscribstar, but no luck.
At this point, I would rather hear that he just had IRL shit to deal with, and he was burnt out... but otherwise, I hope he is OK.

Simple answer. Dev just completely disappeared and no one knows anything.

It is already normal that 1 out of every 100000... video games, is *finished or not abandoned and 1 out of 100000... is really worth its price, but meanwhile they charge you, for unfinished deliveries without any guarantee that they will be finished.

Well so far so good is the essence of capitalism, if someone pays you for shit or smoke, without breaking laws, no one prevents you, have you never seen packaged air for sale? ...well that, as they say there will always be some fool to buy it.

It won't be long before they charge for fixing their bugs, or do they already do that?

* finished, it doesn't mean it's out of early access, or that it's an official release, or any name or designation they make up.

Relevance to this thread?

Wow sorry, I didn't know that to give an opinion you have to ask permission or that it has to seem relevant to someone, my apologies gods and masters of the forum.
You don't need to ask permission. However, when you post something, others may have questions about what you mean, because I can see no connection of what you wrote with this game. And that actually it would need, for general off topic issues should go to the off topic section of this forum. So it would need to seem relevant to at least someone.

Aaaammmmm, well I'm sorry that you do not see the relationship, for me it has a lot, and you have not asked any question, you have attacked my comment directly as a question, which is not the same, anyway I did not intend to discuss nonsense with anyone, just give an opinion, goodbye majo.

Well, would you mind sharing the connection then? Because I still don't see how a general observation about games and devs (with obviously exaggerated numbers) fits this particular game and dev.

You're free to give an opinion, but;

a) It needs to be on-topic as this thread is for discussing the game

b) Nobody needs your permission to question you on anything you write. Especially when it's you writing bland generalised crap about people and their money. Welcome to the internet.

Why do you think if they can't read, they can follow your arrows?:unsure:
Guys, why the bile/sarcasm? Apparently a lot of people have serious doubts about what a story dubbed "dark" could be about. We all read the notice on page one. The author chose not to reveal the plot, which is correct, since it would spoil the fun to some. For my part, I'm really tempted to check the "dark story" out, but hesitate, because of the loaded title. "Dark" to me represents irredeemable evil, as opposed to "morally dubious" which is what we adults often waddle in, the so-called "grey zone". Actually, Poe was a clever one naming one of his darker stories "Gray". "Dark" makes me think about murder, suicide, cruelty, sadism or ending in a degraded, humiliated, miserable state - I don't feel inclined to play a game focused on those themes. On the other hand, to a lot of people, subjects like lust, corruption (as in loss of innocence), cheating, falling into temptation are dark themselves, whereas I would rate them "morally dubious" and would definitely play a game that featured such themes in an intelligent way, especially if it allowed for a resolution that didn't fall into a "crime&punishment" category. Don't need games to be lectured in "middle-class morality", there's plenty of Pharisees to put up with in everyday life.

Hence why I would join others here who, despite having read what the author wanted to say about the dark path, would kindly request a few tags, even full-on spoilers about what the dark story is about, and whether each subject is forced or avoidable.

Thanks you!
