Ah, okay. Well, it's good to know it wasn't abandoned, just life happened. I hope all works out for him, I love people more than a game.

And I feel the same. Family drama, from experience, can drain you dry. He didn't expound on much, but he just said something about his family taking advantage of him, and he only wanted to protect his kid.
And this is only me speculating, really. It could be many things he voiced his opinion about.

Family is like sand in your hand. The tighter you hold it, the more seeps out between your fingers. From the cryptic messages from the dev, it sounds like he tried that and was surprised with how little sand was left.
