This is a new strategy: instead of just milking and not working, now they fool us by releasing fake updates in order to gain more cows.

Anyone else getting this error? It happens at the beginning of the game just after you meet the teacher and set up a study time? Tried it with and without mods; same thing happens. No idea how to get past it.

why is nothing coming up?

Am I missing something?
I read a few pages back that I need to be sleeping the basement which I did.

There is a bug when starting a new game.

Unzip the attached file in MidnightParadise-Elite-0.22-pc/game folder and start a new game.

It creates a variables.rpy file in the MidnightParadise-Elite-0.22-pc/game/script folder.

What? For the amount of time he takes (approx. one month) this is completely fine! People will always complain. If you get like ONE update per year it's "It'll never be finished pls add abandoned tag" and if there are more frequent updates it's like "wow, thats all? pass". I think Midnight Paradise is one of the better examples except for the Extra/Elite paywall. I enjoyed this update a lot.

2/ Start a new game, save and post this save
3/ Post your traceback.txt (in case it's not the same error as earlier)

The thing is that he should focus on the main story, not the side ones or the grinding stuff.

Even if you criticize that he still delivers frequent updates with well made animations. You get several dev diaries and he even adressed the Joyce events where everyone seems to lose patience. In comparism to other devs he is still doing pretty good, "sidegirls" or not.

JOYCE factor!!!
At this point in the game he only has this character that keeps YOU in the MP game. That monk talk about "journey and destiny" was more creative than what he is delivering. I understand that there are characters and that they must also participate in the process but it keeps going round and round. You already delivered what he wanted and wanted 16K subscribers, the bubble burst and now he needs to start the process again. FERRIS WHEEL EFFECT. That simple!
