For the people having trouble launching the game, this fixed it for me.

Download the latest version of Ren'Py and extract it.
Move the game folder from inside you Midnight Paradise folder into the Ren'Py folder you just created.
Launch the game with renpy.exe or the renpy-32.exe if you have a 32-bit OS.
First of all thanks for sharing this.

I tried it but as soon as the game launch it crash again

it's big problem

No fucking way this gets finished this year. The story is moving at a snails pace.
EXACTLY!!!~ this dev is not gonna give us a finished or near to finish version of the game by this yr~ with him busy doing DOD "remaster" and working on MP at the same time~ it will already be a miracle if he manage to release his update on time as promise~ we will be extremely lucky if there is no more delay for the future update~ lmao

NVM you need to do Joyce story before, it's not in the mod but joyce need to be at step 26 for it to appear

Yeah I'm in the same position as many of you, downloaded the update, crashes before it gets to the main menu, tried the solution of playing it through renpy, but that didn't work either. Can we get a fix from the dev pronto?

It's not just on windows. On some macs, this game causes the graphics to freak out.

Seems like you grafic card doesn't support opengl 3.x and you really have a win7 32 bits ??!!! seems like a very old PC with a crappy old intel grafic card that does only support opengl 2.0 or maybe you have not the proper drivers installed.

im gona tell u something but im not sure 100% about it ok

if u have crashes or big problems operating this game ...it means ur pc is not powerfull enough to match this game ..
maybe the graffic card or the rams or things like that im not profissional ..

its working with me like feather flying in the wind ...easy besy becouse my pc is powerfull gaming laptop ..

soo if it will be fixt with u ..u need to ask profissional guy or pc store ..
they may have some tricks that we dont know about.. to fixt this problem or atleast more close

maybe the graffic card or the rams or things like that im not profissional ..

well, that's strange, because the game was running fine till 0.13, despite my 13 years old pc. (yeah, I know, I should get a new one but now PC are waaaay overpriced due to hardware shortage)

It's certainly becaus ethe dev has started to use new features available on the renpy platform
