yes but u know the old ver is not soo heavy maybe more ver and further ver is getting more heavyer
and they also improving the graffic it will (may) effect the performance of ur pc..and some time crashes ..

i have this problems befor with other new games when i was using my old laptop
and all this problems is gone when i get this gaming laptop ..

it means the problim is not in the game

i hop u will find even used laptop with good price soon ..who knows
or maybe u can ask a profissional guy they may do the tricks

Do you still have version 0.13? What version of Ren'py does that version use ? If it uses an older version than 7.4.4, then that's most probably the reason 0.13 runs on your hardware, and 0.14 doesn't.

You give me too much credit I'm afraid. If it's a case of outdated hardware, there's nothing much that can be done about it. I know there are code wizards who could probably get this game to run on their alarm clock, but that's way beyond my pay grade.
I know of at least one dev who went back to an older version of Ren'py because of this, but if Lewdlab now actually uses the new features of the latest Ren'py for his game, that's not really an option either.
This, and games being abandoned before being finished, are the biggest drawbacks of playing games which are still in development.

first of all, thank you for the knowledgeable reply! i am one of the many with the issue.

i WAS able to unren the game and see all the videos and pics contained inside. that's what boggles my mind - exactly what "bleeding edge, super next-gen" additions are there in the game that would warrant the upgrade?? i imagine it's just text overlaying the pics and videos like usual. what could he possibly gain from upgrading this in such a way that adds nothing but breaks the game for a good chunk of the userbase?

i was a paying subscriber to lewdlab for 2 or 3 months last year and i know if i still was and he dropped a delayed update that broke everything - i would be fucking LIVID. right now, i'm just mildly annoyed that i wasted 3gigs of bandwidth for this

and no, i have no intention of upgrading my pc for a porn game.

Why he went to this newer Ren'py, I have no idea. Maybe he had no idea what the consequences would be. As I wrote in another post, I know of one dev who went back to an earlier version of Ren'py when he realised the newer version broke the game for a lot of people. This of course caused problems with the saves of the people who had already played it.
Problem is that these games have no 'minimum requirement' listed. There's also no knowing beforehand which version of Ren'py a game uses, unless the dev lists it in the changelog or something.

i think maybe ..not sure ha ..maybe the new ren py has more better graffic or more options u know ..
like changing from old car to new car ..maybe it will make the game more improved and quality best ?

ahh soo sad ..if i know how to use those stuff and ren pay i would make a game full with story and scenes and ill choose the best graffic i can and ill make atleast 20 female models in the game and music

my pc will handel the best and the heaveyer stuff ..and its free no patreans no money needed and no updates mounthly

ill make only 2 updates.. the first half demo and the second half is full game ...direct to the point without all this westing time .

That's unfortunate that it isn't working for you guys. The only other thing I know that might help is make sure you have the latest version of your graphics driver.

And every update after that will have sex with one of the girls . I just expect 0.15 not take 5 monts again to be done, since this gap was caused by DoD DE and covid. Said that, someone who play this update can confirm if MC fuck Celine? I remember read that Celine will be fucked in 0.14. But i don't rememeber if was dev info or just a rumor

It's not just on windows. On some macs, this game causes the graphics to freak out.

yea cause renpy dropped support for older os systems and games req opengil capabilities so integrated (intel) isn't suitable anymore. if has laptop then bad luck since gaming laptops cost hefty sum, desktop just upg to newer os and decent few years old graphic card.

DoD DE is Dreams of Desire: Definitive Edition~ A remaster of his old game~ kinda waste of time since that game is already a success~ the dev just adding better graphics and animation to it~ maybe throw in some extra scene or ending~

When it comes to this game, I think this game died already at the beginning, when he had to be cuck and change the original concept of the game to be incest game when his degenerate patrons didn't want anything else from him after DoD. I think he is intentionally showing middle finger to his patrons because of that when he is making this blueball simulator. He has lost his passion and will to actually do this properly, so he just became ICSTOR kind of milker, with the difference of him releasing these miserable blueball updates here and there.

You realize that the "forced incest" is the only saving grace from this whole mess right?
And the only thing that's being forced right now is the cringey main story nobody cares about.

You can download the latest Ren'py sdk and try the sample games that are included. But it will still be trial and error for games on this website, as most of the time you can't tell beforehand which version of Ren'py was used in creating them. Also, if the dev upgrades the Ren'py he uses mid-development, it may cause the game to break for you, as has happened here I think for a lot of people.
