The game is not that far yet maybe he could still make a remaster and only turn it back to renpy like dreams of desire why busting up a working thing.

The visuals of this VN/Game, for the most part, are well designed... But that really is the only good thing I found with this one... It is extremely obvious that this VN/Game was originally Incest themed... With a very poor attempt to change it away from Incest... The story text already had issues, but with the lazy changes they went with, it sounds wrong when reading it, plus much of the family stuff was not removed or altered... The lack of proper story and visual transitions, coupled with the lightning fast story telling, poorly written text, lazy changes, just ruins the whole experience of this VN/Game... The visuals can not make up for all the issues I ran into... Even the engine seemed to reveal mouse interaction problems... There is also a lack of originality with many of the character and grind gameplay mechanics... This VN/Game will require a massive overhaul if it want's to shine... And that is a shame, because the visual development of the individual pictures and characters, appear decently made, but the overall package can't live on some decent pictures, alone... They are the only reason I gave this one a 2 instead of a 1... I went ahead and posted my review...

I shouldn't have to, just for the text to make any sort of sense... If they wanted to remake it as non-Incest, then they should have taken the time and effort to properly change it, even if that meant altering other parts of the game to do it... It's a sign of lazy development, that in the end, just hurts the product that much more...

lol what? They didn't want to make it non-incest. They wanted, and are, making it incest. But patreon doesn't allow incest on their platform hence them calling the mom landlady and sisters friend and giving us an incest patchto fix it. Is this your first time playing these type of games or something?

No reason to be snooty... Just because they replaced a few words, it still is an incest story, because they didn't replace ALL the family related words and titles, and phrases... They failed in their attempt to convert it and still be in compliance... So along with all the other text issues, that issue just exacerbates the problem, that the text already had...

Have you read the version without the incest patch? Both versions are in violation of Patreon's rules... But I never talked about that... You brought that one up...

I just don't get it why people are saying that this game is bad ... this is one of main reasons that I disagree with early rating you know why because the game is INCOMPLETE ,

only 2 versions came out and people suddenly telling that this game is bad. well first of all if you are a designer you can see that this game polished very well . interface is good not much grinding and girls are looking good , animations are running as smoothly as possible . and along with story it is porn game whether you like it or not people are here to fap not to read novel.

Dream of Desire became DREAM OF DESIRE after 0.7 you just have to wait from what I see right now this game can be much much better than DOD . you can repeat your events many fetishes can come to the game and most importantly after game finishes , fans can add their own mode to this game and continue this game till when ever they want...

I understand your concerns but just give it time , it is just in early stages don't put more pressure on dev it is good about commenting on game and tell them what is bad , but it is so stupid and unfair to flame dev for being bad when game is almost in early stages.

Why would anyone play an incest game without the incest patch? Why would anyone care how it reads without the incest patch? Plenty of things to complain about with this game, but the unpatched game not being completely free of incest references is a stupid one.

Your reviews are the best, but I have to agree with @ilikemomsonincest on this one. Pretty obvious this is an incest game that needs a patch. The whole landlady bit is a community inside joke by now, and much of the target audience has played dreams of desire or milfy city and knows they need a patch.

But you're right that the non-incest regular version is broken, especially the references. Someone reporting them on patreon can cause serious trouble to this game.

He's not a noob dev anymore, so these excuses no longer apply to him. He now has money, team members and experience to make a solid first version. Instead, we have this...

Should we give it time? Sure, we gave him 7 months to deliver something good and what we got is a noob first version full of bugs and a game shorter than my dick. Where did all that money go?

The only reason why this game's overall review is not lower is because of the DOD fans who will defend him no matter what. So no, I won't wait any longer, it's clear that they've lost their vision and motivation to make good games. And like @Zippity said, not a single shit was given to create a compelling story, whether it has incest or not. They had everything they needed and somehow managed to deliver something not even a noob dev would release.

The problem is that they have plenty of time to make this thing work.
Or we just forget that 0.1 should be out in october 2018 and 0.2 no later than christmas 2018?We now should be playing perfect 0.5.
With 4 months delay we can expect way more content and way better performance.After all nobody force him to use engine he is not familiar.Or to keep obviously incopetent coders for so long.

I was never arguing, at all, if this was an incest or not incest... Someone else either took me out of context, or read into it what they wanted to... I simply stated in my original post and review, that this VN/Game, as I played, it was very obvious that a failed attempt was made to remove the Incest related text, but in the end, the developer did not do their due-diligence in removing a majority of the Family related references, text, and so forth... Instead, they lazily replaced just certain words with odd sounding words, which then in turn made the sentences sound weirder then they already were...

I went into this VN/Game, completely ignoring who the developer was... And I will never give a higher score for a VN/Game just because they may or may not have a prior work that may or may not have been good... A review of a product should be objective, and not be influenced by fanatical fan worship or attempts to artificially inflate a score just because they liked a developers past work/s... But it is what it is...

Sounded an awful lot like you thought this game went the Taffy Tales route and tried to remove incest from the game, and not that this was just an unpatched incest game. Regardless, I still don't get why you were playing and then reviewing an incest game without the incest patch in the first place, nor do I get why you care that "developer did not do their due-diligence in removing a majority of the Family related references, text, and so forth..." and think that's a problem. Again, why do you care about how a pre-patched incest game reads? Sounds like a stupid thing to complain about and you're just nitpicking, when it's not even necessary for a game like this which already has a ton of problems.

I know people aren't too keen on Unity over Ren'py for this sort of game and i get it, i'm not a huge fan either but i understand it, there are things that you can do in Unity that are more difficult to do in Ren'py, sure if you're sticking to a VN style Ren'py is a "better" choice but i'm willing to give Doc Sin some time to get his head around Unity, he made the decision to switch for a reasons and I want to know what features that are planned warranted this, i'm more intrigued than pissed with him TBH.
