Story is more important but i hope the dev doesn't go full AWAM route, advance the story while adding some lewd scenes and i'm not saying adding sex straight away just some sexual interactions with a bit of teasing

What this game desperately needs is longer character building moments that turn into fap scenes. Like the one in the first episode of Dreams of Desire. Right now the fap mind is fragmented across thin scenes with multiple characters.

Feel like the brother stuff can come later as long as there's good story moments with the landlady and teacher. A few long sequences that have depth.

I prefer you concentrate on story. There are lots of "fap" games here.

That said, introducing a side chick to bang every so often would be OK too!

I think you shouldn't rush to the sex scenes with the girls in the house. Instead give the mc more events where he gets to know and help them. That way the pay off will be better. As for the fap scenes, maybe minor characters like that one guy's girlfriend can be called to hook up?

I can say what the game don't need.Mindless grind.We have way too many sandbox games that throw us bunch of stats to rise in order to lie that there is so much gameplay time there.But the truth is that is 10 min content hidden behind 1 hour or even more grind for stats,money etc.

I'm with the Story crowd as well. I didn't finish v0.2 yet because of the Bugs but from what I saw I didn't really feel drawn into the game and Story is the way to achieve that in my experience. After all evoking the Right mood is what makes the difference between a VN and just Looking at renders and animations.

VN ... Visual Novel ... as any RRmartin fan would tell you ... we enjoy game of thrones series despite being waay ahead and beyond the books that sparked them.

Story is told through the most special and meaningful moments that get pictures taken and put into a game to give the text a boost, make the fantasy real and enhance the reading experience.

There are books dedicated to thrilling the audience through beautifully written scenes of maximum excitement in the imagination department while giving some tingly sensation in the thought department also by inciting what if and how come wondering curiosity questions at the back of our mind.

Scenes can be approached very easily through dream plot device / gym shower / sports locker peak / oops moments.

Animation can be simple 5-10 pics beautifully looped into a nice vid (with the quality remastered) ... or what someone said 30 fps beauties other devs spend weeks on end rendering.

On the scenes versus story ratio - mundane tasks around the house just get old very fast (real life and all) therefore some reward - like a mega scene at the end of the week / end of every update / maybe break the achievement for girls into the upgrades (like go for girl A this month as she got the loads of content, tease her with mild but hot scenes with the other girls) ... all those will go a long way to keep the hype high.

Fwiw, MP has the best animations we've seen yet. In terms of the fluidity, lighting and texture quality. COBD is a close second, I prefer the more realistic look that MP has.

Also, it was said before that we are here playing these games because of the story and the build up of erotic scenes, else we would just go watch porn.

I don't come to f95 to read stories, I get a good book from Amazon for that. Most of the english in these games is pretty shitty standard lingo, no writer of porn games will win prizes in literature. We are not on a cultural forum here. And if f95 is one's only source of 'reading' material then I feel very sad, maybe one's teachers or parents are to blame. And the number of non native to native english speakers whether patrons or devs must be at my latest count 3:1. Worst offender IMO is Tremmi. Incomprehensible a lot of the time, story all over the place and yet has a loyal following who will defend him at any cost. He does give them fap material though as tricky as an AWAM supporter. At least I'm honest: I come here to fap. What I want is a credible buildup to the fap scene, not more than 3 chapters, and a long fappy ending at that. I want excellent life like renders and animation as does Lewdlab, and an update every six weeks. And don't give me the BS about HJ, FJ then BJ then Vag then Ass....etc. Who in his right mind would take a HJ when obviously SX is possible? And wouldn't that person push to have the 'real' deal? JMO. Have a good one.
PS. I don’t play with the I patch. Having sex with my closest relatives holds no appeal for me. Especially when we play as MC and are supposed to immerse ourselves in the game. Think about it. Yuck!

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. More complex games get harder to code no matter what the engine used is.

Have you seen a lot of open-world related coding errors in Milfy City or Water World? I haven't. Just the usual "whoops had the wrong if conditional" or "set the wrong flag".

I, personally, would much rather write a sandbox VN in Ren'Py using Python than Unity using c#. This said as a c++ programmer.

Indeed, Renpy is way faster and easier. Not a C# or C++ programmer myself but rather Java, Pascal and Lua script monkey. Renpy and by it's foundation Python is rather silly easy to code in.

Eh, storyline m8. No question about it. Plenty of games out there with quick fap stories. Not really into those. Gimme a good story and the raunchy stuff can come at a natural pace.

Doing things later down the road the would have involved proper real-time 3D (for 'eye-candy' and also fun minigames), easier building for multiple platforms, highly customizable looks with proper animations, various other screen effects, building a central launcher for patrons with one-click update (this is something I'm looking into with renpy but I'm running into walls)
And of course trying to improve and not doing the 'same old stuff.' The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Ok, the choice for this kind of real story, and not supernatural or fantasy.... was it?
A very indiscreet question (more fap scenes) nooo
Of course a little of both is necessary ... more fap scenes .. would be interesting ..(cgs has always been the strength of lewdlab)

But simply pointing and clicking (I want this girl / milf) makes the game monotone, as the character arrived there counts ..

What leads to the beginning, a game more oriented to history, will depend a lot on the number of episodes and situations ..
And to create a game harem, totally unheard of..nowadays it is almost impossible, situations cliches are almost obligatory ..
What leaves a lot of complicated is the background of the character ..
As far as I could play, the Mc will be an infiltrator in the narco traffic (miami vice ref?)
And a dispute over the family business .. (Brother, does he play on another team?! .. eh?)
In just one episode ,and with the errors in game play ,there was very little to evaluate everything ..
Who knows ,with the changes made and a little more content in the first episode make a difference ..

building a central launcher for patrons with one-click update (this is something I'm looking into with renpy but I'm running into walls)

At least on Windows you'd typically build a separate exe that takes care of this. It would check some file for the current version Number, then fetch the new update (ideally a diff or .patch file for script files) and apply it to the existing "installation". You could do the version check in Ren'Py itself and if the user chooses to update you'd launch the patcher-exe and close down the main game. Anyway if you want to tell me what issue you're running into via PN I'd be happy to provide some pointers on how they might be resolved.

Edit: I just looked into it and it's also the way the built-in updater of Ren'Py works. I guess there is some reason that one can't be used?
