Maybe I'm thinking wrong here, but don't the devs of these games plan all this stuff before even starting the game? Like storyboard it from beginning to end, then begin development? Sounds more like the guys who can't stay on any kind of schedule are just winging it the whole way...

hahahahah.... hell no! You have a concept and a raw outline of the story.. but you never can plan all characters, dialogues and scenes upfront.

But to be honest, Lewdlab is one of the few devs that probably have a complete outline of the project up front.

Pretty much, most of these devs aren't professional game designers or have real experience in game development. Don't think people should expect so much, they're still learning as they're going along and why I ususally don't get too bent out of shape when things like broken saves happen, I just stop playing for a while.

Bugs happen regardless, that's something I don't really have a problem with. Implementing characters or something to the game every update in order to prolong the release, especially if they were already having problems with bugs prior, that's where I have the problem.

And why is that? Too efficient? These games aren't equations of space/time here. Seems more like a tactic to drag a game out when it looks like it might be completed sooner than desired....
I believe it was even in this thread where another Dev mentioned, that they adapted the direction of their game due to how people commented on it from Update to Update. It's not exactlly unheard of in the movie industry which is why we have Director's Cuts and reshoots (or think of the Sonic Movie where they redid the whole character model and rerendered all scenes following the initial trailer due to the audience's reaction).

What's true is that typically we don't see those processes unfold in public and it's different on Patreon.

All that being said: yes, it would be great to get a bit more transparency on the progress and the issues he's facing. It's not as if he didn't at least promise to give updates more often time and time again.

Ah well: I admit, I'll be playing as soon as it arrives and by now I'm used to prolonged wait times. I'm a filthy pirate however so that might explain why I'm rather relaxed about this.

Hey everyone

Seems like there was a little bit of confusion with my last post. When I said I'm interested in pursuing some of the ideas I have that never meant stopping work on MP. Just wanted to make that clear.
So as I'm working on 0.7 it keeps getting bigger and bigger. I wanted this to be a small update but I guess I just can't stop adding things to the scene list. I always felt bad about smaller releases, but I know I should strike a good middle ground instead.

Anyways, we're looking at about 15-16 new animations, some of them are longer this time.I'm also turning up the heat with an animated blowjob scene, some good old going down on one of the girls, more night fun (because I like those) and I've heard you want some more Joyce action, so you're getting 2 scenes with her that will advance their physical relationship with Connor to a new level ;)
Also adding a new flashforward cutscene with Thorne (because I also like those), which will be voiced again. I'm also adding some conversations when you find the characters when you're walking around in the navigation mode. These won't be necessary to complete but will give some background story to characters. I might do more with this later, but it's just some 'world building' for now.
As you can see on the picture above I'm introducing the new maid character, Celine. She has an interesting relationship with Connor aaand... I won't spoil anything.
Remember Kyle? Connor's friend from the beginning with the envelopes? You're going to meet him in 0.7 too. Revenge is sweet ;)
On another note, with Patreon's new layout changes I've noticed that some of the new people here can't find the links to the games properly. What I've come up with is to make a pinned post with all the links and some FAQ in there, so I'll do that sometime this week. In the meantime if you're new and having trouble finding stuff, go to the 'My Membership' panel and scroll down to the bottom, then click 'Read More' - that should open up the old overview page where you can find everything. Thanks, Patreon...
Anyways, that's all from me for now.
