just finished v13 cant wait for future updates after mothers love this is the game i enjoyed most.

I agree, i prefer the old Isabel, the new one looks good, but this new model looks very similar to some characters from other games, kind of generic.

I see it as most people wanting something quick. Increasingly, people live faster-paced lives, so they need brief or transitory diversions, and porn is one of them. The other argument in favour of this is that sex is just sex, and it shouldn't be over-complicated. I accept all that, but that doesn't mean that we all have to agree with it.
I also follow very few of these games. And while I'm initially drawn towards them out of curiosity, I hang around for the plot. I never expected to be hooked on the "good" versus "evil" story-line in Peasant's Quest, for example. Every update, I wonder how the MC will uncover more secrets on sixteenth century beliefs about the supernatural in Treasure of Nadia. Our Red String is great if you're into basic psychology. The City of Broken Dreamers is just a perfect example of the neo-noir genre. I think each of these games goes above and beyond just sex, as each has more than enough fiction to satisfy one's interest.
A better example perhaps is Dreams of Desire. Part of what made that game great for me was just how conflicted Mrs. Turner was about her feelings for the MC. I also liked, despite her not being my favourite character, how much Tracy loved the MC, doing what she could to keep him safe, which he frequently interpreted differently. There was genuine tension and danger in that game, which is missing from Midnight Paradise.
I don't have an issue with Joyce not dealing with that maternal conflict that Mrs. Turner dealt with throughout Dreams of Desire, for example, as Joyce's circumstances are different, to the extent that the same guilt isn't there. But Isabel fantasising about the MC, who acts and speaks like a kid a lot of the time, doesn't make much sense. We still don't know much about the drug (is the MC's aunt his father's nemesis and main competitor?) or his childhood best friend. We also haven't really seen the MC's family deal with anything in terms of danger, given the world that he's chosen to exploit and, possibly, his father and brother's involvement.

Nobody knows for sure, Lewdlab himself stated in the beginning of November that after 0.13 he takes a creative break from Midnight Paradise and returns to work next update sometime in January or February, and since he now has a lot work to do with his DoD related side stuff so he can release it in 12th of March as he has planned, it's more than realistic to say he starts working 0.14 in February. This means, 0.14 will more than likely be released somewhere in April or even as late as May, depends how big update Lewdlab decides to do.

In next update? Nah. He will probably keep blueballing everyone by going forward with the story and develope the story of younger sister who is far from getting P to the V. Getting penetration sex with one of the main girls is probably a christmas gift for next year.
