Four weeks ago: "The update slips over to December, however I'd like to reassure everyone that everybody who is a Patron $10 and above will get the update in December."

Two weeks ago: "I'll post additional info after the coding work starts."

And then just pure silence. Christmas holidays and everything coming up, I think we are going to hear from Cucklab next time in January.
I like how someone copied this to Cucklabs Discord server and it got deleted in like couple minutes. :ROFLMAO:

He already did that.Around 0.4
Well it's about time to do it again then! I mean, that was like 10 versions ago? Great reason for him to go for it, right? :Kappa:

Also, I like how he posted in Discord today: "I will update you guys on the MP and coder situation in a post soon. However, if anybody here owns Dreams of Desire: Definitive Edition on Steam and wants to test the new languages, please let me know. You will be able to test right inside Steam with a very small update to download." I always wondered how and why it is so difficult to these devs to just write those simple posts. I mean, you are making games, but can't make regular simple posts about what is going on with development? Well, I guess it actually is pretty difficult for these guys to come up with new lies and excuses for why something is taking too long all the time...

"Yeah, I have time to type some pretty useless stuff in Discord but I don't really have time to do a Patreon post about development because I don't have any excuses ready yet, but hey cheers for the money, will be nice Christmas and all!"

I'm so confused. I was sure this game had a sex scene with Ruby in the living room. But I must be thinking of another game... But which? :|

I've always wondered why so many writers who could make quality games don't want to update, while the "average" game writer is so diligent.
Because the average or new dev is still trying to make it. They work harder on thames and try to keep people more in the loop so that they can build up goodwill, trust, and money.

Once a dev makes it and starts bringing in the big bucks all of that goes out the window. Their prerogative turns into “how can I extract as much money with as little as work as possible”.

Why can’t big devs take 2-5 minutes to keep people updated? Because they barely do any work. They don’t make update posts because they have nothing to update people on because no work is being done.

If they actually made consistent and meaningful update posts they’d just expose themselves. Either their update posts would contain no information indicating progress, exposing them for not actually working on the game. Or they’d have to lie about progress to keep stringing people along, but then when they release the update they’d expose themselves for barely working on the game when the content does not reflect what they said in their update posts.

When you don’t do any work, your only option is to be silent or vague and just hope your patrons stay subbed. And with how delusional and naive most big dev patrons are, they’ll all happily be scammed, milked, and stay subbed. But if the devs made update posts they’d expose themselves as liars, scammers, and millers and even the biggest paypigs would wake up to reality.

Devs like lewdlab have no choice but to keep quiet because they’re not doing any work.

I hope it's not on hold for long. I'm finally getting into the story and I'm enjoying it so far. I could have done without the twin brother though. I'm doing my best to ignore him.

Competition is the best part! He'll be jealous of his brothers success and all the girls wanting him

Wasn't sure about this game at first but the story has developed into something that is engaging. I feel like I'm binge watching a TV crime drama like Breaking Bad....no...more like Better Call Saul. lol
