Since he says he'll keep working on content even if he doesn't have a coder, when he does get one and releases an update, you would think it would be huge. I mean, with how long he's been working on stuff without a coder and already has the next few updates planned out.

No matter how we look at it, it's the beginning of the end. I rarely criticized Lewdlab, but man, is there some kind of pandemic spreading among the most promising Devs ? It seems like some kind of bad joke, but in the end, as the saying goes, All good things must come to an end - even the Top Tier Devs fall sooner or later.

Once you get a taste of a 6 figure income for 1 update a year, it’s hard to go back to consistent work. He clearly does not want to work on this game and is just in it for the money, and he knows very well by now that he can bring in good money with little work. Just another dev that made it big and realized that their paypigs would stay subscribed regardless of how much content they actually put out. But who can blame the devs for that? It’s frustrating that their are so many paypigs enabling dev behavior like this.

shit, I just don't get why DEVs believe we would believe in difficulty in finding game coder. He have the money and there is a shitload of games here that have very little Patroon support and bottleneck is 2D/3D graphics/scenes. Out of those coders he can get someone with skills just for coding part pretty fast and they are already working in adult industry games so....

Dr. Sin asks reliability from the coder, but I would say that any coder that really respects themselves should ask that reliability from Dr. Sin too. As we noticed, Dr. Sin was trying to hit Lain up with the coding gig just couple weeks before the estimated release date, which is another proof of him being gullible that there wouldn't be any problems and everything would go smoothly in the coding process. Now imagine being a coder with some other stuff going around in your life, and this turd head hits you up with a short notice "yo I need you to code this thing in two weeks" message. And when you tell him that you need more time than that and then shit hits the fan with his patrons, he blames you for the delays, even though he is the one who should be in charge and in response for everything that goes into this project. Now how many coders actually wants to work with a guy like that? Not to mention when he pulled out this "mental health problems" card, he pretty much became a walking red flag for everyone who works in "the industry", because you can never trust to a guy who claims that he has some mental issues.

Hah, yeah, no, that's not gonna happen. 0.15 is supposed to be around like 450 renders and maybe 20 animations, because that is the normal size of an update. Let's not forget that he hasn't worked on this for seven months, but just from the late October.

Yup, that was the comment which made Dr. Sin go all defensive and put the blame on Lain for everything. That comment has nice ratio though, as that comment has gained 30% amount the likes that the post itself has. And it seems couple more people have now dared to voice their opinion too, which is nice. Not that it will change anything, but it will put some dirt on him.

It was? How unfortunate. Its sad if that was the reaction it triggered. Sad because that just shows a lack of responsibility. Its HIS business. Not Lain's. No matter whose fault it was.. when its your business its your fault. You can blame someone eye to eye but for the public eye? Its on you. You take responsibility for your own business.

So it saddens me if this was his reaction to it. This is a very polite, professional level, respectful reminder of your duties and your failures. Everyone needs to be reminded every once in a while. This post did it splendidly without angry accusations or ramblings. I don't think this could be done any better, or should be done any better, than this post did.

The optimistic hope is that despite this blunder he still takes the lesson at heart. He really should. But of course if he went butthurt over it.. it does not bode well.

Yes, that was the first and only comment on the post when he replied to it. It was up there for under 10 minutes before he deleted it, as probably staff member Risael was smart enough to tell him that his comment is not the way to go.

It definitely is sad how he put all the blame on Lain instead of just showing some respect and responsibility for his supporters by taking response of his business. I'm pretty sure Lain wasn't the one who was slacking off at the job and travelling all around the world with supporters money when DoD DE was taking so much time to get done...which was of course also coded by Lain in the end. But that is the gratitude that Dr. Sin shows for Lain coding his games with a fractional compensation from all the revenue that Dr. Sin gets. Ungrateful, disrespectful and arrogant developer.

I've always wondered why so many writers who could make quality games don't want to update, while the "average" game writer is so diligent.

Ask the devs at Rockstar, Activision Blizzard and CDProjeckRed, it's kind of a similar case here, but in smaller scale.

If you will copy something from another game(TON) at least copy all the things including sex and anal.And threesomes.

Not sure if Lewdlab or his staff reads this forum, but here's an idea: Release your renders as image packs. Later on you can go back and code them into the game when you find a suitable coder.

If the coder is the issue, then we're assuming you're doing your job by rendering the images, right?. So release them on a monthly basis and those who are paying will get something in return, even though they'll see the images them without playing the game, but at least the patrons know you're doing something and they're getting something for their pledge.

Just an idea.
