So this is what we get after waiting for nearly 1 year for an update
15 minutes worth of content and a totally unnecessary NTR scene. I get that during this time dev way busy adding animations to DoD and was looking for a new code writer But I just don't understand why dev had to add a NTR rape scene to the game.
It's a shame really because I liked the quality of renders and the models. But the dev lost his touch and I can't continue wasting my time on this.
Fella, could you be more specific about that ntr scene?

I hope is not about Joyce...

Greetings!

I'm honestly baffled. This dev comes back to Midnight Paradise after a long hiatus, 15+ updates in, and he decides that now is the time to spring a forced kidnapping and potential rape scene on one of the main LIs? Up until now, it's all been MC working a slow burn on the LIs, and then just like that, a rape scene is dropped in the player's lap.

How do you write that scene and not think you're going to piss off a large majority of your audience? I'm not knocking people who like NTR, but seriously, who was this for? People who like NTR gravitate toward games that have a lot of it, for obvious reasons, and people who don't like NTR - or especially rape - absolutely don't want it in their games, or at least want it stated up front when choosing to play it and not years into the dev cycle.

I would be upset if this game had been competently developing the LI's characters up until this point, but thankfully I don't think many people felt much of a connection to them due to this janky development cycle. Such a shame, this game had so much promise in its inception, but has really been a disappointment in its development, and this nails it home.

The writing is just plain juvenile and reeks of a writer who hasn't ever faced rape or sexual assault in their life. The way Isabelle reacts to being kidnapped, drugged, and possibly raped on camera is so unbelievably nonchalant, it's almost a little insulting. You take her home for her to spend the night in the same room she was just kidnapped from, you don't call the cops even after verifying that it won't mess with the MC's shady business, the next day she talks about how the experience turned her on, and a few days later she's back to her old self and ready to have sex with the MC.

Apparently a day at the spa cures sexual trauma, who knew? /s

An argument can be made that it is *some-what* avoidable since - if you are quick enough - you don't see any rape occur, leaving you to presume that nothing occurred before you arrived, but that really doesn't undo the scenario being thrown at you out of the blue, opening the pandora's box of rape scenes now being a possibility in this game. Not only that, but the update doesn't even include an option to confirm if Isabelle was raped by checking the camera footage, it's just bizarre.

If it sounds like I'm passionately butt-hurt, I'm seriously not. All I can do is laugh at this point; I've never seen a dev nose-dive their game with the audience so bluntly like this before, it's fascinating.

You don't get it man! That scene was SUPER necessary because now Isa is open to the idea of being dominated by the mc. That was the only way we could ever get to that point with her!

Their explanation on Discord for the "hot topic": "NTR has a market, and if there is something that can make the player base grow, then of course a dev will implement it."

I guess we just have to wait and see how the support for the game grows. Maybe the dev is a 200IQ genius and will prove us all wrong.

The game has always been based on a non-existing background story and a douche fucking every single hot woman that gets in his path, which is good enough if you just want to see hot women in action (as I do in this case).

So he removed the scene and apologized, I consider Lewdlab a pro for his art, but a pro should know what he's getting himself into, and NTR is a very bad way, he made the same mistake adding this crap to the DOD, but, at least it was avoidable.

It also disgusts me all these "people" who like this, come to think of it, you're not "people".
He did yeah but the damage was already done for alot of people.
I personally don't like NTR but if the dev is upfront with it from the beginning then at least I can move on to the next game but playing a game and getting invested into and then being hit with surprise NTR or rape content is a game killer no doubt.

Rape content is always distasteful for me, whether it's MC doing it or not but what's even more distasteful is having genres like NTR, rape or other weird fetishes in a game and not making it optional..unless if it's an NTR or rape based game then sure it doesn't have to be optional cause that's the narrative of the game after all.

After so many months (years) of waiting for stuff to happen on this game, I honestly lost perspective if scenes or developing of the game at this point is good or bad, it's just too late, I'm a 100% sure it wasn't a great update, but at least it was something, may be people just starting the game will enjoy it playing it all at once.

This update was rushed together in the last two/three months and it shows. The updates for this game always had a barely acceptable amount of content for a two months release schedule, but now we're getting an update after nine months with two months worth of content?

The plot is ridiculous. She gets turned on from being raped? That's not Isabelle. But, we finally got the seks. Great. Buggy back and forth between animations aside, I was helluva excited when Isabelle said she wanted to ride MC. If it was going to be half as great as Linda riding MC in Milfy City, it would still be fucking glorious. But... holy fucking shit, what the hell was this abomination of an animation:

What's with the arms flapping all over... I have no dev experience myself, but this is such a rooky animation... No fucking woman rides a man flapping her arms like that... Don't turn a pose into an animation. Just have her touch her boobs with her hands or place them on MCs chest. I actually lost my erection to this shit. Luckily the cowgirl animation in MCs apartment was better, but still... I expected more.

Patreon also sucks, incest is prohibited but rape is allowed in their guidelines, this is just as bad as incest, at least incest is consensual while rape is not consensual.

I am confused, did lewdlab remove the scene and apologize?
