So was the only thing added the Mini-Game for the Gun?
And the blonde Maid intro, then it ends? In the last one it said "End of Content", if this is the end, it's missing that alert.

I hope for Faerin that he listened to players' feedbacks, because MM definitely wasn't as popular as MOTH.
I wouldn't know of any objective metric to gauge that (though probably Patreon subs and Steam sales would count, but I don't know them) but you may still be correct. He also said in the MM thread that he would in hindsight have done some things differently, so there certainly was a learning experience. Then again, a creator has got to do what they've got to do, and many (whether it's directors, actors, musicians, authors, or game devs) do not necessarily count their most popular as their best books, movies, games, albums. And while I am not as deluded to say that "audience tailored" publications are necessarily bad and wouldn't mind any piece of art made for purely commercial reasons as long as I enjoy it, they do tend to lose authenticity. So I rather see somebody creating something they themselves like, not what they think their audience would like.

Managment part was lame, but girls were hot. Anyway, I agree that dev wasted 2+ years on making Mystwood Manor while he could just make another sandbox with hotties.

Not to mention that story in Mystwood Manor was just... kek.
I like me some sandy box as well, and MM was always going to be a step down because MotH was the first "proper" adult game I played and thus has a huge nostalgia bonus, but I think "wasted time" is too strong a term. Even if something wasn't for you or me, others might still have enjoyed it, and even if Faerin listened to "the audience" in every respect, since I am not "the audience" but merely a small part of it, it still would most probably be done "wrong" up to a certain degree for me.

good day . I don't know how to play this game, I'm trying as hard as I can but I can't find any progress, no interaction, no interview, no plot, nothing, I keep clicking on the characters and nothing, no response. I'm probably playing another game that I don't like.
I don't believe there is any actual game play right now. More of a template to build everything off of.

Sycho; would it be a good Idea, to put a notification in the OP for content Status ? (I mean there will be still a lot of questions to answer due to "reading amnesia") of some users, and how is ownership of the thread, (meaning if one of you guy's can edit content or we have to wait for Faerin or raise a ticket) for adding the latest changelog?

In for another banger from Faerin.
Even though I liked MotH way more than MM, I like it when devs finish their games, communicate and update regularly (I don't care if it is every month, every 6 months or whatever as long as it's fun and quality is good).

Pretty cool to see the quality of Faerin's games improve over the years (this game's characters and backgrounds look great).
The similarities of some UI and Map elements to MotH are dope too.

Change Log for ver 0.1.3
Midnight Sin V0.1.3 changelog
Hey guys, I ended up doing more coding than I anticipated.
I had some ideas for new gameplay elements and QoL improvements, and I figured I’d better implement them now or it might not happen anymore at all.
Aside from that, I finished the intro, made some changes to it, and added the first 2 character scenes as an extension of it.
Next month I will add the first sexual content (as this scene is part of the main story) and “free-roaming” interactions.

I hope that you like where it’s going so far!

All the best,
Faerin
Story
• Added the final part of the introduction and made some changes (you need to start over).
• Added the first scene for Olivia. • Added the first scene for Kate. UI/gameplay
• Added mouse interactions that detect movement patterns
(you can test one out when the thug points his gun at you during the introduction).
• Added a short tutorial.
• Added notifications (for stat changes/events/reminders/etc.).
• Implemented the city map. (the image is a placeholder and will be updated once all locations are finalized.)
• Added a popup for the UI color during the intro.
• You can now skip time on the characters panel and inventory as well.
• Added text animation effects (for screams/whispers/etc.).
• Added a typewriter effect (this can be disabled in the settings).
• Added a mapping file.
• You can now still access the menu during dialogs by pressing ESC (saving is disabled).
• Added the first (partial) translations for German and Spanish.
• Fixed a ton of minor bugs, please let me know if you find any others!

You do recognise the difference between a pirate & a customer, right?
Same as there's a distinct difference between providing objective feedback and subjective whinging.

Undefined reasons for calling MM "disappointment" & "mistakes" gives nothing to work on.
That's just a baseless complaint, not constructive criticism.
Didn't want to insult his grasp of basic mathematics more than I already did. ;)
lol You don't need to. He's done a good enough job, of advertising his ineptitude, himself. :ROFLMAO:

First of all, Faerin doesn't only have fans in this forum. His games are distributed across many different platforms. All in all, MM also has noticeable fans.

Second, it's an apples to oranges comparison. MOTH is a harem sandbox game, while MM is more of a business simulation. Of course the fan appeal is different. He just tried something new. And the accusation is not bad for this daring idea.

So, I guess you did forget that when he released MotH he was constantly interacting on F95 with pirates (i.e. = us F95 folks), and that a spontaneous campaign promoted by us pirates on the game's thread boosted him and his game until it became one of F95 most popular games, making him a successful and popular dev.

It happened when F95 still had a "most popular games" subforum (a handful of games only were placed in that subforum, and MotH was one of them).

Now, please tell me why it didn't happen with his second game.

Oh dear.
You obviously don't understand that "being popular on F95" has fuck all to do with how successful a game is on Patreon, Subscribestar, etc.
Being the most popular game on this site means nothing in direct relation to how much he earns from it.
The most popular film on torrent sites does not automatically equate to a box-office success.

Yes, Faerin interacts on here, as do his team.
Listening to constructive feeback is not the same thing as some entitled freeloader saying "Waaah, MM's a disappointment.", "Waah, dev made mistakes".
Why does he think it's disappointing? What mistakes is he even referring to?

Undefined. Unsubstantiated. Not productive. Not worthy\useful feedback. Simply whinging.

I like to point out, something, Faerin, Interacts constantly on Discord, because there you can reach all Fans from different platforms, a needed step, as he increased his popularity.
if you go to the MotH thread you will see that he steped a bit back to the complention of the game plus he had a few fans which handled most of the answers on this site.

I think of us more as 'volunteers' than fans. Hey, my name's in the credits. That's pretty cool!

And, for those keeping score, Faerin actually DOES still post in these forums. Yes, the volunteers post more, but we can answer questions most times of the day due to our schedules, while he is just one person. Would you rather he be working or answering questions here?

As far as art quality and game quality, I'm not going to get into that because it's subjective. Anyone's opinion is inherently not wrong, because it's their OPINION. If you want to decide for yourself, check the OP of each of his games (there's a banner with some of the main characters in each).

Finally, anyone who compares MwM and MotH is, in MY opinion, misled. They are different types of game. Will every game work for every audience? No. That's obvious. But I'll take a creator/developer that has a vision and completes his vision, over some spaghetti-plot donor-placation farce any day of the week.

Happy gaming, everyone!

This is really the key point

Getting annoyed that MM isn't another MOTH is like getting mad at EA for making Mass Effect instead of another Madden game.

I know the management sim is polarizing, but the mechanics are very solid to the point you could take the porn out and pop it on the google play store for kids to play, bottom line is MM is a quality game, and it's hard to sympathize with the people mad that it's not the quality game they specifically wanted to be made.

Also consider that MOTH, on top of being an amazing game on its own, existed in a time where there weren't a lot of games of that quality (as someone mentioned, there was a sub where the most popular would appear and that was like, 6 games). That's not the case anymore, there's plenty of quality games being made. So while someone on here asks "why not just make another harem sandbox," the answer is likely "because there's now plenty of harem sandboxes" on top of Faerin themselves wanting to try something new.

Also take into account that much of the content of Faerin's games is decided by polls on his patreon...the ones actually paying them to make them. If you want to dictate how they make their games, I suggest you open your wallet
