Also take into account that much of the content of Faerin's games is decided by polls on his patreon...the ones actually paying them to make them. If you want to dictate how they make their games, I suggest you open your wallet
This. Absolutely this. (y)

Sycho; would it be a good Idea, to put a notification in the OP for content Status ? (I mean there will be still a lot of questions to answer due to "reading amnesia") of some users, and how is ownership of the thread, (meaning if one of you guy's can edit content or we have to wait for Faerin or raise a ticket) for adding the latest changelog?
I'm not sure Faerin wants to take over ownership of the thread for, obvious reasons, which is why he hasn't done so with the past 2 games. It would come across as him condoning piracy to any patrons or Steam players. So that's something he wants to avoid.

Now as far as the changelog, the person who leaked this version didn't include one, even though there is a changelog.pdf included in the RAR.

Yes, I am still active on this forum, I even (try to) read all posts.
I just don't post as much anymore as I used to. The last few pages illustrate perfectly why that is.

I just don't see the point in arguing with people that state their (seemingly very uneducated) opinions as if they were facts. Seriously, some of them are just...yeah, I think I better stop there, as I am not very good at sugar-coating my opinions ;)

That being said, this place definitely helped me get started.
I got a lot of constructive feedback and I met several people on here that I count as friends today.
A lot of my Patrons came from here as well.

But if there's one thing I've learned in the past 7(?) or so years, it's that the people that contribute the less (in whatever way) are usually the most entitled and vocal ones. I just ignore them. What was that saying about arguing again? ;)

For the rest of you guys: thanks for all the feedback, helping people out with my games, and all the support!
I hope (and think) that with MnS I'll be able to take the good things from MotH and "MwM" and improve on them!

I like how we're having introspective conversations of the quality of games vs what the masses claim they want

meanwhile there's an argument over the definition of the word several

I liked MotH, it was not a revolution but it was good. I LOVED MwM, because it is a good management game on top of a good porn game (Yeah, go try some so-called "management" games on Steam or even worse, on the Play Store... ).

At the moment, I either can't find a way to do anything past the first day (last scene is the one with the blonde maid ?) so I reserve my judgment on this one for the time being... But having watched his two previous games grow steadily in really enjoyable and good ones, I'm pretty optimistic. Keep up the good work, Faerin ! (on a sidenote, I'm on a reaaaaaally tight budget, but as soon as I can afford, you can count on me as a Patron).

Completely OT for this thread, obviously, and also just my personal opinion, but MotH did two things that I miss in many of the newer games, two pretty similar things. And I definitely didn't see them in older games, though I cannot claim to even have superficial knowledge about the genre, what with thousands of games existing.

(1) Incest stayed a taboo. Yes, Sophia and Amy were in on it, also Debbie, the shrink, but only with one of them. Too many games for my liking will go the "everybody will know everything you are doing and be okay with it" route while I enjoy a taboo more if it is not in the open - and if everybody is okay with it, it isn't really a taboo anymore anyway. Exemplified in the bonus ending in which we explicitely learn (though it has been mentioned in some endings, especially the Ashley ones) that not everybody knows everything, there still is conflict, we are still treading lightly.

(2) A kink doesn't have to go all the way up to 11. Case in point: the BDSM relationship with Veronica (mostly DS but a bit of punishment exists). NOT having the master/servant relationship spawn everywhere publicly (drunk cab rides do not count) but having it a little thing for the two of you, not creating a whole dungeon (okay, no room for that, but still, other games might have used Amy's apartment or similar) but stopping at a certain point. Some games do this as well (this is an issue of almost any kink by the way), of course the devs will always face criticism from those who like the more extreme versions of kinks, whih is okay, but I think the whole scale should be covered. Just as it is with food: different people like different levels of spiciness. Some don't want it at all. I like some spice but I am not interested in testing sauces that will make me pass out, trying to see how far I can go on the scoville.

I understand that after 1 day and talking to this blonde maid nothing more can be done?

That is well developed and what can be called a feedback. I won comment about (2), as you stated yourself this game isn't the only one wanting to go "all the way up yo 11", many good games (and even some... less good, if I'm charitable) do that.

As for the 1st point... I remember playing some games where the taboo of incest stays taboo and the ending (or at least one of the endings) shows a secret but happy relationship. There are not many, tbh. Iirc, Sisterly Lust had some endings where you escape to the island with one of the sisters leaving Mom and the other sis behind (only if you hadn't develop a full relationship with them) but I played this game a long time ago and I may be wrong. My sister my roomate also had the relationship stay secret in the good ending (again, long time no play, ma be wrong). As for your second point, I think it is a trend to put the incest kink all the way up to 11, adding a pinch (yeah... more than a pinch, I must admit) of harem in the game, and we all know harem is a pretty common fetish around here...

But yeah, you're right, those was some of the points making MotH a good game, among others (the relationships evolving at their pace, the god damn good renders that many games are not even on par with still today are two other points tha come to my mind).

I agree that the pacing of MotH was almost perfect with little exceptions (Sophiaaaaaaaaa!) for me, too. Even though it was a bit stereotypical stairway to heaven and mostly the same pace with little variation (but realistically only Pam could be quicker, and it is, even if only by a little).

You have to remember, these are the same people who would complain when they can't run the game from inside archive, or when the path is too long, when the game tells you, in big red letters, not to do that and how to fix it. :cautious:

A little sad that this release hasn't much to offer for now to see if ya like it or not. Just hope it will get more interesting then Mystwood was. (Not even fished MM, disliked the managment sys)

When I try to save the game tells me I need to finish the tutorial first. So how do I save?

(My favorite one was in a different game though. At one point the dev found it funny to have the cheat menu hidden behind the "Konami Code". The amount of questions "where are 'A' and 'B' on a computer keyboard" was staggering ...)

does faerin intend for the girls to fuck each other at all? Only thing lacking from mystwood was the mother daughter banging each other. If that's not planned here I'd like to know before I invest myself. I like that MC isn't related, but I LOVE some mother daughter/sister sister action.

Can't say what he has planned, but there is a possibility of that.
