Anyway, nice story, but ignore. Back on topic:
Do you guys have an idea of how long it's likely to be before the set-up is done?
As in, when we start getting the proper game play experience.
This last one started the story proper, and most of the base mechanics are done, so it should be mostly smooth sailing from here on (as these things go).

If I had to guess, I think the prelims are mostly complete. I won't say the gallery/hints/etc. (info on the character screens), map and all that will be 100% for next update, but within the next 2 I think we'll be on to (mostly?) story events.

But I'm not buying my next lottery ticket either...

pretty weird that the dev calls his framework "engine", since the engine is still unity.

If you don't want to play it because it's based in Unity, there's one very simple solution... Don't play it. See how easy that was? The dev is going to use what he or she is comfortable with, so there's no point in arguing the matter because it's an old, tired argument that isn't going to get anywhere.
