We really have no idea about the paintings, but they will play a role later down the road, just not sure in what way or in what form yet.

I just hope this game is more similar to Man of the house than Mystwood manor. Mystwood manor offered a good story, yes, but very little reward for all the work in the hotel.

It will be more like MotH. Think of it as a MotH 2.0 but with a new cast of characters.

Yes, that's correct. There's a reason for that which hasn't been revealed yet, but I've made note of it in the walkthrough I'm working on.
