Hello, am i the only one who can"t get the incest patch to work?

You just have to put the mapping file in the folder in which you have the exe file of the game. That's all. Currently, that doesn't do much, except for some dialogue that reveals that Madeleine was your father's last wife, which in turn suggests that her daughters are your half-sisters. But so far there have been hardly any dialogues that underline this. So, currently the patch doesn't do much

I'm not sure what to tell you, since I've not seen that happen in quite some time and no one else has reported that problem to us ever since it was fixed. I always do a new full playthrough in each version we're testing (multiple times) before release and can assure you I haven't seen it occur. So as I said previously, it's likely a bugged save. That's really the only thing I can think of. If you want, post your save and I will ask Faerin to take a look at it.

I know I did a complete fresh playthrough at some point, but I don't recall exactly when (I thought I did it because it was recommended during a new update).

I am ASSUMING it occurred in March, simply because earlier saves are incompatible with current versions of the game.

I only noticed the errant inventory book while playing the current update. I have no idea how long it's been there, but it is in my March 2024 save (upon which every subsequent save is based).

You're welcome. Yeah it was close to or around version 0.2.x or 0.3.x where you would have had to start a new game due to changes made in the code, which would have made earlier saves incompatible.
