Is there a better translation being worked on? I'd like to play this game but good lord the MTL is basically the same as playing it in the original text

I'm trapped at the bar. The bukkake scene when you help the guy promote his bar keeps retriggering and I cannot leave. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Not that, you should be set for game resources if you can already launch and play.
So, are you playing on Windows? Or Linux, maybe Android?
I'm also asking about the file path to make sure you're not saving in a temporary directory that gets deleted after you exit the game. Either the saves are not created in the first place or they are deleted.
I'm playing it on windows about the saving I'm not sure I just downloaded the game and that's it.

In that case, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're playing from inside the archive. Extract everything from the archive to a path like "C:\Games\Miko" - simple, short, no special characters - and try saving again.

the odd "translation" didnt bother me much, after i learned about the "Q" key to skip dialogue.
Still, it was interesting reading how they referred to a stream as "a delivery"
well i suppose it sort of fits.
